I have a free runner that likes to turn, however, he will over flex and bring his chin to his chest in a ton of bits! For example, the Sherry Cervi short shank is way too much bit. He needs something more than an O Ring and to help him keep his hip under him.

Chain mouth or mullen?? Possibly a hack??

In the progression of bits, in my mind, your next step from and O-ring would be a Sweet Six and they come in a variety of mouth pieces; chain, twisted wire, dog bone, etc...so that may be worth a try. But it also sounds like you might be okay in a hack too.

Maybe try a short shanked hack?

Tried a jr. cow twisted 3 piece upside down (more purchase/less shank) and it worked great! Also have a beetle hack I will try.

Thanks!
