Location: Texas | This is mine. She is very much a free runner. She's been my favorite horse to ever swing a leg over.

I've got so many videos of her on my youtube.. here is the most recent one. We went to the KK Fall Classic in Bryan and won 5th in the 2D against some super tough horses. Bryan is NOT her pen, we don't work well in the ground there, and I was debating whether or not to waste the entry fee.. But she did way better than I expected. Back home at pens she's familiar with, she's a solid 1D horse. But at bigger shows and new places we are usually a little slower. Probably jockey error to blame.

He is small maybe 15 hands but runs like a big horse and looks like one until you stand beside him. I have trouble riding him since I have always rode push style. He is a struggle for me but a new learning adventure!

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | I have one of those magical, Holy Crap! fast runners--there is no slow button on him...you either keep up or you catch up--that runs super hard, and rates super fast and hard. You couldn't run him by a barrel if you tried. I have little bumber spurs and no whip. He has nothing recognizable on his immediate pedigree. I've tried to find something sorta related to him (same sire/dam or grandsire/grand-dam) and can't find a single one. All old/foundation cowhorse. He's 15 now and has been sick, and he's still very fast, but he used to be dirty fast. I have videos I'll have to come back and post. |

I would consider her a free runner because I don't have to push her in between however, she will not pass a barrel if she can't help it! Best of both Worlds
