In Ephesians , the first three chapters tell us who we are in Christ, how much He loves us and all about the amazing things He has done for us.
Ephesians 1:4 even as He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.
God chose us even before the world began!!
Ephesians 4:2 living as becomes with complete lowliness of mind and meekness with patience , bearing with one another and making allowances because you love one another.
This breakdown doesn't start talking about our behavior as Chrisitans, but instead starts by talking bout our relationship with God. When we know who we are in Christ and how much He loves us , we will fall deeper in love love with Him. And when we fall deeper in love with Him, changing our behavior is something we want to do because of His great love for us.
But in order to change , we have to have help just by trying and self effort. Our motive for changing must be because we want it please God. Relationship must come first but it takes time and studying God's Word to develop that strong relationship with Him. I can tell you that when you study God's Word and spend time with Him, there's nothing in your life God can't change.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
Father God, guide me today to do all things that will bring glory and honor to You Amen
