Location: kansas | My brother is in ND working now, and got told he is supposed to be in Bismarck to work starting Monday. He has a 5th wheel and needs to find a place to stay or park for a month and the cheapest he has found is $850 a month.... Does anyone have an suggestions or know if a place he can park for a month without paying an arm and a leg?
Thank you! |

I'm going out on a limb and say that's why the one he found is $850

Most farms allow trailer parking and even have electrical hookups, etc. |

I'm sure that is the reason, but when your 22 years old that is an awfully steep price to pay, hence why I am on here seeing if anyone has any other ideas....

| This is a horse site and not one person has suggested to find the arenas that run barrel races and call them about their RV // LQ hookups .... electric power is his main need ... most big truck stops have sewage dumps for $5-10... once a week hookup go dump and come back to your E hookup ..

By chance do you know of any arenas in that area? I have never been that far north, and his hours are weird enough he is pretty limited on being able to find places... Working 7 days a week most weeks 6:30-7 or even later makes it hard to find a place... |

North Dakota is hard up for indoor arenas, I think there is one indoor in Bismarck but owned privately I want to say? |

Location: SW North Dakota | Have you asked the company that hired him? Housing has been cramped for long enough, that most employers have some options. I know some of the pipeliners had their 5th wheels at the Mandan fairgrounds... |

For boarding arenas you can try the flying D. I kept a horse there for a night a few years ago and it looked like a nice place.

Thank you! I live in Mandan... across the river from Bismarck.
If all the campgrounds are full, they are full unfortunately.
Has he called Sibley Park? http://www.bisparks.org/facilities/general-sibley-park-eagles-park/ Hillcrest? http://www.hillcrestacresrvpark.com/ Prairie Breeze? http://www.ndtourism.com/menoken/campgrounds-rv-parks/prairie-breeze-rv-park
As someone else mentioned, there are electrical hookups at the grounds where they have the Mandan Rodeo Days. I believe they are owned by the Mandan Parks and Rec so I think they would need to be contacted to get access to them. Or have any other ideas on where he could park. http://mandanparks.com/
On that note, he could check with Bismarck Park and Rec too, on any other possible campsites. http://www.bisparks.org/
As far as horse boarding, we really don't have a lot around here. Flying D as was already mentioned. There's also Harmony Stables but they are usually full. http://www.harmony-stables.com/ Those are pretty much the only two public boarding places with an indoor arena. All the other indoor arena are private. There used to be another place up north Bismarck that used to board horses (was pretty spendy too) but I believe they stopped boarding.
Prairie Skies sometimes will board horses temporarily sometimes for some people (they have an indoor arena) .... but I'll just leave it at that. http://www.yellowpages.com/mandan-nd/mip/prairie-skies-arena-gordon-quill-18560443

I know Flying D has electrical hookups. My sister's ex's parents own a boarding barn with an indoor. I could get their info.

Because someone mentioned indoors having hook ups and RV dumps/water. |
