 For months now I have had rubber mats down but am sick of Them I just the other day painted the floor with sand in it but I know I need some rubber can ating I think of some sort anyone have a problem?

Might get spendy, but what about Equi-Flex or Poly last in the traffic areas?  I have Equi-Flex flooring and Looo-ooooo-ooove it!!!

I can't think of anything that is DIY.

If you want to keep it plain concrete i would contact a garage floor company and see what they can offer in a more industrial non slip coating.

Our poly-last reps around here also happen to do garage floors.

home depot has a product that is textured that you can put on concrete,i used itinmy business,it comes in a bunch of colors, textured or non-textured. comes on gallons and 5 gallons. not that expensive.
i think itscall deckover and i used itin my shopput over epoxy the textured kind look and wears great. 30.00 per gallon.

you can put cement down and then use a broom to go back and forth and it makes it rough so its not slippery.
