Has anyone had any luck rehabilitating a horse with torn shoulder muscles?

My horse injured his in March. We just let it heal. After 7 months he was still off/stiff so we injected the joint. Worked GREAT!!! Only thing is, those injections don't last long. Hoping to get a few months out of it.. Shoulders are a B________.

My vet told me that after 7 months it was as good as it was every going to get. Thats why we waited to inject. Good thing is, once I start riding him he loosens up and goes pretty normal on it. I do also use LAME AWAY spray topically and that really does the trick.
