Has anyone had any problems of their horse losing energy after switching to triple crown senior. The last couple of runs it seem like she's barley loping through it dropping from a solid 2d horse to 4d. I have an appointment with the vet for this week.

Hummmmmmm I started feeding it again this past summer. Now that they are not being milled by Nutrena it has been wonderful. My colt off the track has REALLY REALLY mellowed out on it but thats what I want!!!!!! I can't say they are low energy though..Interesting observation. I will say my horses have absolutely BLOOMED on it and have never looked better.

I do have to say she looks amazing on it too. I wonder if it mellowed her out so much that she lacks the energy to run

Alright so I just got back from the vet and it turns out when they ran the blood test it showed she had high GGT levels/ elevated liver levels. He thinks thats what causing the loss of energy. I had a lameness exam done too and she may need hocks injected in the future which could of also been causing the drop in run times. Said the feeds probably not causing anything so well see in 10 days if she returns to normal or not.
