So I had ovaries, ulcers, flexion, and teeth ruled out. My mare is still very ****y when using leg pressure, especially left side (trying to bite your foot, swishing tail, pinned ears back). I notice these sort of bumps on her lower abdomen, left side being larger than the right. They are only noticeable at an angle, but I was wondering if this could be a muscle issue or something internal?
They are not hard, neither super fluid... kind of in between. Sent pics to my vet also and waiting to hear back
My geilding gets really sore in that same area....like will kick out from brushing. Took to the vet...gave muscle relaxers it did nothing. Got him adjusted, had some ribs out. He got better but it's back again. I think he needs several adjustments, but it's hard to find anyone close enough to do regular appointments. Just had hocks done so hopefully with time that will help. I don't think it's saddle fit, but I do believe it's just his ribs getting sore.
I held off testing for the PSSM, hoping I'd find something else but will have to look into it asap. Yes I could see where she would store fat differently but she's actually very lean to where she's pretty much muscle with a race build
