For those of you who have had a horse with the Tivio bloodline, have you noticed that they have more hoof problems or leg bone problems than the average horse?

We just bought a palomino yearling filly that has Tivio Hank on both sire, 3rd generation, and dam, 2nd generation, side. We are looking for pics/info on him, mainly out of curosity. We bought this filly to be a buddy to a weanling filly. So far, we really like her temperament and she is cute.

My 3 year old is a great grand daughter of Poco Tivio and she toes out a little. Not sure being that far back I could blame it on Poco Tivio though. Do you have a Poco Tivio with problems?

I was just curious about the bloodline and the hoof issues because I had a registered gelding quite some time ago that had bad hooves and navicular. I can't remember his registered name, something Tivio, and I remember that he had Poco Tivio on both sides I believe but it was too long ago for me to remember anything else on his papers. Sorry I can't really give more information but it was just a thought I had that was worth investigating thanks everyone for your input!

For any of you that have question about Poco Tivio you can go to Randy Magers page. Ask him. His father owned Poco Tivio and showed him for years before selling him. Randy has a treasure trove of pictures and loves to tell stories about him.
