I recently bought my old competition horse back. He is 17 and has always been a touch of a hard keeper. What supplements do you prefer for your older horses that covers most of your health bases as well as joint protecttion?

Cur Ost EQ Plus or Cur Ost Total. Dr. A hell at secondvet.com would be able to help you choose.

Cur-OST Plus and a clean diet would be great for a hard keeper, keeps the inflammation under control keeps the entire body healthy. Dr. Schell is very helpful! You can post on the forum at secondvet.com.

THE Muscle Mass and Amplify during the cold months if you think you need actual fat added. I have had 3 oldies on THE and they did great right to the end. One was 32, one was late 20's and my 40+ pony is on it. It has a blend called senior, that I add. It is great for their digestion.

 Cur-OST.

My 24 year old started on Cur-OST Plus and then he got fat - HAHA. So he was on Total all year and still competing and looking amazing.
ETA: he is on a clean diet as well

I don't have a senior horse, but I will concur with everyone who has said Cur-OST.  It, combined with a clean diet consisting of the highest quality forage and minimal grain, would be the best combo for any horse of any age in my opinion.

I give FORCO and THE MM or the Equine Edge with allergy and GLUCHON. They have free blends this month so I did add ulcer prevent. I also give the THE Electrolyte.

Clean Diet consists of no processed feeds etc. My barn is on whole oats, flax, and of course grass and alfalfa hay. :)

I feed alfalfa hay twice daily, and my crew gets a half scoop of oats with a cup of black oil sunflower seeds once a day to mix their Cur-OST products in once a day.  No processed feed, no probiotics, nothing else than what I mentioned above.

I have my old boy on Tight Joints Plus and Oxy Mega Oil and love how he looks and feels for being 26.  I just posted a video on my Facebook last night of him feeling great and acting like the Black Stallion LOL.

THE Senior blend is awesome for preventing any inflammation to occur within your horse. My older gal Bella who is 28 years old, looks and feels more rejuvenated since adding the Senior blend into her MM formula

I second OE Nutra. My 15 year old is on Gamechanger & I love it. I brought her back from a long break too!
