Anyone try it yet, compared to Previcoxx? It's always been the same medication so I would expect it to work the same.
its previcox exactly the same thing.....buy previcox from your vet MUCH cheaper....they made a big deal awhile ago about prescribing dog meds for horses but that mess has died down now. Just get the previcox dog pills much easier on the pocket and most vets don't care anymore at alll

I did quick math once in comparison of the Previcox 227mg pills vs the 57mg Equioxx pills. You got approx. 60 more days out of the Previcox and for $50 less.
ETA: And yes, it's really new, didnt miss anything :))

Correct, fairly new. They did this so vets couldnt prescribe the dog version any longer. The Equioxx paste was astronomically priced compared to the previcoxx for dogs. So the only " Legal" way to force vets into prescribing the more expensive med is to put it in pill form. :) Now vets can't prescribe it off label due to the fact there is also a pill for horses. So my vet just gives me a bottle with my dogs name on it.

One of my mares almost lives off previcox. I ran out about 3 weeks ago. I went to 3 different vets including the one who originally prescribed it to her and none of them would sell it anymore. So I had to break down and buy the new stuff. I'm glad it came out in pill form bexuse there is no way I could afford the paste. And due to her having having a past with bad ulcers I stay far away from bute.
