Location: Sunny California | I'm trailer shopping and have narrowed it down to 3 brands: Elite, Hart and Platinum. I like the type of flooring in the Hart compared to the other 2 and the fiberglass roof. I like the look of the Platinum and Elite. They all seem to be similarly priced. I will be purchasing new not used, and not their economy lines. Any info on these brands would be helpful. Thanks!

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | I prefer the plank flooring in the Hart. You can get an insulated ceiling in any of those, I'm not sure if insulated metal or fiberglass are better. They're all great trailers, just depends on which features you prefer personally, little things like latches/hinges, and ties. |

I guess you could call that their economy line, but it don't think it's really economy, it's just a standard size so everything matches and they can produce more of the same at a cheaper price. Anyway, mine is a 2007 3 horse with a 4' short wall weekender. I'm the second owner and I've had it 4.5 years and i LOVE this trailer. I've had two different pregnancies during that time so it sat while I was pregnant and I know I could hook up to it and haul to another state, no problem. Everything always works, nothing breaks, it looks great and the horses seem to enjoy it. |

It rolled twice completely. The pickup looked like a crushed beer can. All 4 horses emerged unhurt with the only trauma being wood shavings in their manes. You had to get close to even recognize the trailer had been in a rollover.
That tells me a lot about how they are built. That's why I'm biased. |

I agree. Mine is built like a tank. My last one had 150,000 miles on it and it didn't even notice. Still was in fantastic shape when I traded it for my new one. |

I have a 4 star now and have had some problems with it, and my friend has had similar problems with hers, so I am not considering one due to those reasons. I think I'm leaning towards the Hart or Platinum. |

I agree. Mine is built like a tank. My last one had 150,000 miles on it and it didn't even notice. Still was in fantastic shape when I traded it for my new one.

| I think Platinum and Elite are pretty close in quality Hart seems a little lower quality.
A lady ran into the side of my Elite. It demolished her car and SCRAPED my trailer. Amazing |

Did you get another Platinum after the accident? Do you have one now? If so, what year?
Yes I did. The accident was in 2008. The trailer was an '04. I got a 2006, 4H after the wreck. The frame was twisted, but you couldn't tell, so it ended up totaled. There were hoof-shaped holes in the roof, like a cookie cutter. We sold the 4 H '06, and now have a 6 H Plat. monster. |

Location: The Great Northwest | I have pulled a Platinum LQ. They are a heavy trailer but I have heard they will hold up if hit. I pull a Sundowner now because of a floor arrangement. It is my second Sundowner LQ with a Platinum in between. The Sundowner is a lighter trailer but last with a 10 year warranty. |

Quiet ride is ONLY available on our straight load models currently. Now, we do offer an easy lift ramp which is amazing! |

| We've had a Platinum and Hart. The Platinum was a good trailer, but the Hart is our preference. We love it! It's built really well. |

| I agree with Bear my daughter had a horrific accident pulling a platinum 4 horse reverse load - pickup was horrible to look at but the trailer showed damage but not much - the 3 horses backed out with no visual signs of injury they were sore the next few days and most important was the daughter did the same - I am for the platinum 100 percent after seeing how well it stayed together |

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | Elite. My husband is a quality research fanatic and we went with Elite (our 2nd) and LOVE everything about it. Platinum was a close second, and we'd still consider owning one of those. We happened to pick up our Elite at the plant while they were doing some dealer training, so we got to see a couple of other brands there, and after seeing a $100k trailer that was sowbellied because they cut holes in them for slideouts AFTER they're built, instead of framing them up that way while building them...I'd never consider one again. |

Totaled the new Ford pickup as it pushed it into the back of another truck, but the trailer just needed minor work to get back to usable condition. Trailer ended up in the box of the pickup when the ball broke off... |
