| Hello. I have a 7 year old gelding with IAD due to allergies. Unfortunately with this warm fall he is struggling. I already steam his hay and he lives in a paddock with a lean to. I am interested in trying curost. I know I must feed the total support and immune together for a while then maintain with the total support. But.... How long do I feed both before just feeding the total and what is the amount of the loading dose? Thanks! |

Location: North Dakota | Typical protocol of Total and Immune is 90 days together then just total.
There is no loading dose of the Immune, that is always dosed 2 scoops once per day. The bag will last about a month.
The total support is the one he recommends a loading dose on so it's 2 scoops twice per day for 2 weeks. So intially the bag will only last 2 weeks but then the dose is backed down to 2 scoops once per day after the 2 week loading dose and the bag will last about a month after that.
I feed mine with whole oats.
Hope that helps! Keep us updated with your horses progress! |

Location: NE Texas | MidWest nailed it, if your horse is an easy keeper type. The Immune & Repair does not requre a loading dose, however the Total Support does. Feed the two together (at the same feeding after the loading dose is over) for 90 days, then maintain with the Total Support.
There may be times when the humidity is high or it's super hot that you may need to use the Immune from time to time. I add it in for my horse in August and September when the heat and humidity are terrible. Other than that my horse has maintainted on just the Total Support going on two years.
I feed it with a half scoop of oats and cup of BOSS. Mine only get oats once daily, just to mix Cur-Ost in. They get alfalfal twice daily. I don't wet my grain or steam my hay or anything else like I used to have to do. |

| I did this regimen with my copd horse, I continued to let him have turnout about 40% as opposed to full turnout that I usually do. Even with the continued turnout he no longer coughs and last scope showed clean. Some of the healing I attribute to the grasses dying this time of year but even with this warmer weather he's doing great. |

| I just looked at the website. I see the Immune only needs to be fed ONE scoop a day? But up top it says 2 scoops a day yet the serving size is one scoop a day? I am confused. Then like you guys said with no loading dose. Do I feed the Immune while I feed the loading dose of the total support or do I wait to add the Immune until after the 14 day loading dose is over of the Total support?

I went and looked at the website in case he changed it and I still see Immune at 2 scoops once per day?? But the way I did it was Total support AM and PM and did the Immune just in the PM during the loading dose... and then when the loading dose was done did Total and Immune in the PM as that is what works best with my schedule to feed grain. |

It says one serving is one scoop or one ounce then above the supplement facts it says one serving is 2 scoops. |

Location: NE Texas | Immune & Repair is 2 scoops, once daily. Yes, you want to use it with the Total Support during the loading dose phase. Once the loading dose is finished, you will feed 2 scoops Total Support and 2 scoops Immune & Repair together at the same feeding. Don't split them between feedings, as they are designed to work synergistically together. |

| you can email cur ost and the doctor will respond usually within 24 hours.
In your email provide information about what is going on with your horse.
He will respond with produce and feed recommendations?
I am very happy with the Cur Ost.
They will work with you...help your horse. |
