Location: Montana | I don't have any pictures, if I did I would share, but I would like some advice. I have normal, even sweat marks with my saddle in the summer time, and have sent pics to a saddle fitter to make sure, and everything fits and feels good. In the winter when my horse is all fuzzy with her winter coat, the even sweat marks are no longer even. We haven't had this open of a fall and winter without snow as this year, so I haven't ridden as long as I have ridden this year so I haven't ever noticed this before. Anything I should be concerned about?

Does your horse also put on extra weight in the winter?
If so ... there you go. Saddle fits when horse is in shape (which is what you want) and doesn't fit quite as well when horse puts on a few extra pounds and loses some fitness.

Yes she does put on extra weight in the winter...I should have thought of that! LOL. Like I said, I usually don't ride this late in the year because of the weather, and this year we haven't had the weather yet, so I haven't noticed anything before!
