I've found some other threads on this product but has anyone ever fed this to horses going through the fusing process? Naturally or surgically

It's a great product!  Call and ask them - I did when I was dealing with a fracture and they were very helpful.

i have a mare that will have a coffin joint fused after foaling next spring. I would think you wouldn't want to feed any joint things, but does equibone help joints or would it help bone grow together?

This is what they sent me about using it for hocks, "We've used it on horses suffering from significant pain while the hocks are fusing and it seems to support the speeding of the process along with almost immediately eliminating the pain. We've had customers tell us they have horses that are in so much pain they're laying down and won't walk. They're seeing their horses are up and getting around comfortably again in just a short period of time. So, it should be useful for supporting the hock fusing process." I went ahead and bought a bag and started it today, in my case the horse really isn't showing signs of serious pain. X-rays show he is about 90% fused and was hoping this product would just sort of push it along the rest of the way, I was curious if it had seemed to speed up the process for anyone?

I just looked it up, but man it's pricey! I would love to give it a try on one of mine but I am a little hesistant on feed through supplements in general.

My track vet told me to put one of mine on a calcium supplement. He recommended purina's that they make. I did. She is doing great.

I use this product with great results (I use it on older horses with bone problems too):
