I just sold my barrel horse and I am in the process of looking for a barrel prospect. I found this 2 year old filly by palo duro cat... she's been started right, rides around very nice, and from what I Can see in a video seems to be very athletic. She's only 14 hh tall right now. Attached are her papers and a picture of her...Would like to hear some opinions on her as a barrel prospect..

Bloodlines are good. I would say it depends on the individual. Does she appear more or less athletic in comparison to other prospects you are looking at? I ride primarily cutting bred horses and have had success.

She is more athletic than any other prospects I'm looking at. She was on track to go the snaffle bit reined cow horse futurity so she's definitely riding around nicer than anything else I'm looking at.
My last horse was cow bred too and I really liked the way she worked. But she was taller, about 15 or 15.3 hands. Hopefully this one will grow a little more!

For some reason I have always really liked PDC. Granted this was when I only knew about cutting and nothing about barrels, but something about him appeals to me. She should eat a cow up, plus she's a pretty thing too!!
