| I haven't used LipSense...but the MAC ProLongwear lip color is LEGIT. I found it when I was a rodeo queen, and I still swear by it. I wore the peach shade for my wedding this summer, and touched it up once during the afternoon. I still had it on the next morning! It's still not cheap ($25/tube), but you don't have to buy the gloss separately. There's not as many shades, but if you're indecisive like me that's not necessarily a bad thing!!

| I thought that the initial investment of $50 was high for a tube of color and gloss........but now that I am using it, I really like it and am going to buy more. The color and the gloss stay on for a long time. With normal gloss or chapstick, I have to re-apply it many times during the day. With Lipscense, I put it on while I am driving to work and don't need to reapply until after lunch. I can eat breakfast and lunch with it on and not have to re-apply it. |

I can apply it and forget about it. It kinda burns when you apply to color, though... and is super sticky until you apply the gloss. |

The Maybelline one is the one that last a long time at walmart.
However, I did buy two tubes of Mac Lipstain this weekend and like it better. It is just more though. I can wear it for more then 6 hours. |

| I am a big fan of Lipsense. It hurts my soul and pocketbook to buy it - but I honestly do feel it is worth the money. I had a hate-hate relationship with regular lipstick. Nothing stayed on - I couldn't get a good lip line to save my life - longwearing lipsticks or stains made my lips feel SO dry. A friend got me to try Lipsense and I fell in love. It is amazing!!
A couple of things to consider if you want to try it -
1) you do have to buy a gloss to go with it - any other brand of gloss will affect how it lasts. Different glosses have different feels. Glossy gloss is a really slick - kinda heavy type gloss. On me - I feel like I have to apply it more often - once an hour or so. Matte gloss felt to drying to me. Sand gloss is my favorite. It has a slightly neutral tint - slightly shiny and seems to last longer between applications. I can go a couple of hours. And it's pretty on it's own.
2) You have to get through the exfoliation process - Especially if you have been wearing a lipstick or balm that has a wax base. Lipsense reacts with that somehow and you lips WILL peel some. This lasts between 3-5 days. After that - your lips are in great condition and the gloss has really good moisturizing properties. The company makes a really good lip balm. Also expensive of course. BUT a cheep container of petroleum jelly also works well and doesn't have wax in it.
3) it does have alcohol in it. That is part of the microbiological properties to keep the tube sanitary. I feel a tingle when I put lipsense on, but it goes away with the gloss. And you have to use the gloss- without it your lips feel GROSS!! I don't feel like the alcohol in the product is drying. The gloss is the bomb! I'm the type of person that can't stand for my lips to feel even slightly dry - I used to have 547,000 tubes of chapstick around the house and in my vehicles.
4) This stuff sticks - so it's kinda hard to get off. What I have found that works the best is the Neutrogena face bar. I have not tried the opps remover (lipsense brand). The lipsense dealer I use sends little containers of the soap in chapstick like tubes with her orders - it's great to have with you if you want to take it off during the day.
5) I stalk lipsense and shadowsense (the eyeshadow) on Facebook, eBay, and amazon. There is always somebody- somewhere putting it on sale. You can sign up for a membership for $55 a year and you can get the products for 20-50% off from the company - depending on how much you order at a time. This is what the people that sell it do. I search Facebook to see who is selling it for 15% off or free shipping or whatever. |

THANK YOU FOR THIS INFO!! I have yet to see it on sale, even on Black Friday the lady by me that sells it had no deals, and the gloss is also 25$ a tube, so I was hesitant, but this is really good to know :) |

It is sold by individuals all over the place. That's what I know about it. Folks sell it on the ole internetzzz. I don't think it is a pyramid or multi-level marketing business like many other things, but I could be wrong. Some folks swear by it. I have some friends who love it and some who said it wasn't worth the money. Folks sell it in their boutiques too. Lots of boutiques popping up everywhere and lots of Lipsense to be bought.

Location: Northeast SD | LipSense does stay on but I hate the glossy feel especially around animals all day and with long hair. I've found a very cheap kind that stays on all day/night and is matte. $6 a tube
Colourpop.com try the Ultra Satin or the Ultra Matte. |

Location: Southeastern Idaho | My daughter in law sells this so of course I tried it. Not a lipstick fan but it does look nice when I wear it. Now on the other hand, the eye shadows are the BOMB. Won't be without them. They stay on forever and don't run in your eyes when you are sweating. And the Anti Climate face lotion...really soothes my skin after a day in the sun. Love that stuff. |

Location: 31 lengths farms | I am a lipstick freak, but only the long lasting stay all day ones. I got sucked in to the LipSense ones and do not care for them at all. Unless you follow the directions VERY carefully they do not stay, the crack and crease badly. Actually I have a red and a pink and those don't stay I should say.
To tell you the truth, the ones that I found that will stay all day through anything are the cheapo Rimmel Provocalips, better make sure you like the color cause it is staying on . I found that if I want a change of color I put a Rimmel one on, then layer one of my Too Face or Smashbox lipsticks over it and I'm good to go all day. |

| I am and have always been, a lipstick fiend. Can't tell you how many tubes in my purse, desk drawer, and bathroom makeup supply. TOO MANY. I was introduced to Lipsense, and like others, thought expensive, but have come to love it. I did the $55 sign up to get a discount but do not actively sell it.
Yes, it stings the first few times. That goes away.
If I do not actively scrub to remove it (the exfoliation from this is actually helpful) it will still be there the next day. Through showers, through swimming, it is great.
Best thing besides the stay power, is NO transfer. No more marked up coffee cups, tea glasses, straws, or baby cheeks.
Initial kit includes the Oops remover, will last forever, a color, and a gloss. What I have found removes it best is most waterproof make up removers, but Clinique Toner (free from gift set) works best. I get a cheap washcloth at dollar store to use for removing, but stain not really a problem, as it seems to come out in the laundry better than mascara stains.
I find it comfortable, and you can blend colors/glosses to go with different outfits. I am a big fan.

| Tried it .... really wanted to like it since friends were selling .... HATED it. You could see every crack or wrinkle in my lips and made me look older than I am. No nice glossy smooth look ... I looked like I'd been a smoker and I've never smoked. So ... it didn't work for me. |

^^^ exactly. I have 2 tubes, both used 1 x and 2 glosses, 1 used once. Paid $75 and have tried to sell them for $15 a tube or $50 for the whole lot . Not a nibble. And to tell you the truth I can see why, LOL!!! |

Do you have to know someone who sells it to be able to buy it or can you get it anywhere?
Is it kissable?! Haha or will this stuff wipe off on my clothes and things? |

The color base is dry after it has been applied and will not transfer. The clear gloss, however, is thick and has that sticky feeling. |

| I've been wearing LipSense for about two months now, and I have gotten really excited lately about trying out different colors everyday. However, I have very thin lips so I started to use a dark lipstick a couple of months ago. I know that dark lipstick wasn’t very fashionable before, but I've found an inetresting tips at beauty-tips-and-tricks.com about how to wear dark lipstick like a pro. |

| I like it a lot. I am the person that always has chapstick in my pocket. During the day when I am work, I can apply one coat of color and top it with the Gloss and I don't have to apply anything else for hours - sometimes as long as 6 or 7. If I am eating a lot that day, then the gloss doesn't stay on as well. The color really does last all day though. I am a little cheap about it and will use Burt's Bees Lip Balm or Lip Shimmer when I am home or working with the horses a lot. |
