I wanted to let everyone know about a very cool organization that has a great program. I judged the Retired Race Horse Project Competiton recently at the Kentucky Horse Park. I judged the Barrel Race and Working Ranch Competition but there were several other classes. Classes paid $5,000 to win and had a qualifying round with the top three going to the finals.
Yes, it is for Thorobreds only, but it's still a great program. For someone that wants to get an economical project and work towards this competion the program has a lot to offer.
Here's the link to the website. The website will have a lot of updates in the next couple of months. There is a deadline to register (I think it was Jan. 30 for this year), so check the rules when they come out.
