I am planing on exhibitioning my mare at a big show that's indoor only. In exhibitions am I allowed to ride around in the arena or is it only to do barrels?

Ask whoever is putting the show on what you are allowed to do. They are all different.

Most producers have a 60 second time limit and you can do anything you want in that time frame.   It is common to lope circles in the corners inside the arena on the drags, another option to let your horse see the walls or fences.

I suggest that you go watch some exhibitions in your area to see what others are doing and what limits there are.

If there's a time limit, don't be one of those who spends 30 seconds at each barrel circling it over and over and over...I get it that you pay for your time in the arena, but be respectful of the rules and other riders so everyone can get their ride in and the race can start on time.
