I am in search of a purple themed leather headstall for schooling/trail riding/having fun. Any suggestions on brands? Not wanting to spend a ton since this is just for schooling. So far I have had trouble finding anything under $200 that I like.

Check out Purple Rein Creation on facebook or on their website. She makes some really nice, good quality stuff. Everything is done by hand by her and her daughter. I've never been disappointed with anything I've gotten from her!

Try KB Custom Kreations. She has a FB page.

Looking at her stuff right now. Looks like good work, and is priced much closer to what I was thinking of spending.

Check the tack sale pages on Facebook--you can get gently used good quality for a steal of a price sometimes on those sites, if you know what you are looking for.

I had my set made by Lantern Lane Creations, will definately go back to her again. If you want quality you will not find custom bling tack cheap but this set was sure affordable.

I have two custom headstalls from BlingMyRide

Really really good quality. I was a little miffed over the customer service (poor) for my second headstall last year though. I know they were really busy but my order took twice as long as quoted (quoted 6 ... took over 12) and the conchos were wrong when it arrived (I was very specific about what I wanted). They made it right and took care of it, but I was a little annoyed with the customer service this time, since they were absolutely fantastic the first time around.

Quality is good; that's for sure.

Not quite the style I was looking for, but I love that she does custom flank cinches. Maybe that's what I'll ask for next Christmas.

Yeah I almost choked when I saw what a set cost---I told Lula Bell it would be several birthdays and Christmases and anniversaries and other events before she had both a breastcollar and headstall!!!

I understand that quality costs, but some of those sets costs more than I could get a whole saddle for!

I sold a bunch of extra bits and tack and collected winnings to pay for my set. Now, don't really have anything extra to sell to get the money for a second one :P

It will at least two of us going together for the breast collar purchase----maybe more!

I saw a used set on barrel racing tack swap that had purple inlay on FB... go and search purple... don't remember the price but don't think it was real expensive...:) good luck!

Ok it was $300 but really nice... that's cheap if it's custom, and it was... search in FB barrel racing tack/horse swap... there was a to die for one from Crown leather for $550 used... haha

I ordered the wrong color; I thought I was getting lighter colored but I ordered black. . . . They have been wonderful to work with on getting straightened out. I even sent pictures of her saddle and some sets she had picked out for the leather color and Jim helped me know which color to get and we're going to send the black back and rebuilt in the chocolate color that matches. I'm very thrilled with the customer service. . . .

Hand made from the hide up. Hand cut, hand tooled, fully custom and worth the investment. She has a few sales going on and can work with your budget. Give her a pm on Facebook and tell her what you're looking for. You won't regret it. She has beautiful purple stingray sets and can add as much bling as you would like.
