Location: Montana | Nothing doing really here, we're boring, ha-ha. Stay up til midnight, not even sure if we'll have our sparkling juice that night or in the morning. By Saturday night we are usually so tired it is all we can do to watch TV and eat popcorn, LOL. Luckily we have pretty good neighbors out where I have my horses (I board), but usually it is so cold here on New Years Eve and New Years that nobody wants to be outside shooting off fireworks. There are usually some, but some how 0 degree weather takes a little of the sport out of it, LOL. |

| Like many of you, staying home and making sure the idiots don't set our pasture on fire like they did several years ago. Thankfully, we have had some rain, so not really a problem this year, but it is fun driving down the road slow and letting them know I am checking. Gosh, we are so boring anymore! |

| The funny thing is the horses go to the edge of the brush or get in their run in sheds and watch the fire works just like we do. The dogs hide in the barn. I don't worry about the animals anymore, but I do worry about the idiots firing off their fireworks and aiming them towards the pasture. |

| Since I don't have horses right now, just a dog, and live in town I don't have to worry about the fireworks too much! I got invited to go a few places an hour away to three hours away but I've drove a lot for the holidays and am just going to stay in town. I don't usually buy clothes too often but treated myself to a cute long sleeve cocktail dress for $15 and cute heels for $7 from Gabes, so I'm excited just to get dressed up and just go to a local restaurant and then bar here with a friend of two! I'll add a picture of my bargain finds

I think we may have the same neighbors!! Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, Labor Day, 4th of July, Birthdays. Heck one of them set off fireworks when his Mother died. We even have a year around wholesale outlet a mile up the road, where they practice and advertise by setting off BIG fireworks.
My horses and dogs became immune years ago. |

Two of my pups hate fireworks. And I have gotten to the point that I hate them too.And those shooting targets that blow up and sound like a horrible truck crash or bomb going off. |

Thats funny... so will I, I always hope that it rains on New Years Eve and a big thunderstorm rolls in right befor midnight to keep all the ding dongs from setting off their firewoks and shooting their darn guns, guns are my main gripe out here, we have plenty of our own guns but we dont use them for fireworks like some of these nut cases out here do. |

Yep thats the plan getting everybody taken care of as in horses and dogs, poor dogs hates the fireworks so they get locked up in the shop and then getting in that horizonal position.. Hope your not in to much pain, heard that kind of surgery can be a bit painful. |

This was a piece of cake. I can't do anything in a NORMAL manor. Had to have surgery twice this week. Nothing went wrong, just the way they had to do it. Thank you. I am pretty good at following Dr orders. Already shooting fireworks but someone will probably blow their hand off before midnight. |

Will the fireworks are going off, but they are in the distance, so thats kinda good, but boy when they go off it sounds like a cannon, they make fireworks so much louder now adays..The land is real rolley out here so it really echo's when the fireworks go off, I go outside about every 45 mins to go check on my horses and then at midnight the dam guns will start going off again.. Be so glad when this night is over with..I'm such a party pooper, lol.. |

We always stay home. Hubby says New Year's Eve is for amature's and it's not safe to be on the roads!!
My momma called me around 5 and said they were going out. I asked where and she said Doe's (famous steak house but horrible horrible part of town) with their best friends. When I told her that 4 "old folks" didn't need to be on the road in this weather and tonight of all nights---they all 4 thought that was real funny. I told her at her age she knew better than to be out tonight. . . . So not only was I worrying about Chandler and Lula Bell being out, but also my parents. (They were home at a reasonable hour so I'm gonna let them slide!!) Still sitting up waiting on the kids to come home tho. . . . I dread nights like these. |

Of course I had not counted on some other neighbors being in a differend timezone.... or their clocks were an hour late..... but they started at 1.00..... Luckily they are a bit farter away, but I still went out to check on the kids a couple of times. the dogs were still hiding, but the horses were just munching on their hay, and the 2 year old had streched out in the hay... lol.... he might be the youngest, but he was the coolest through the night.... So at around 2am everything was quiet and it was time for bed for me... (the hubby slept through all that.... ) ETA, and a happy New Year to all!!!

Thats funny how the husbands can sleep while we are up worring over our horses and us going out and checking on them threw out the night, I think I was more worried then the horses, every time I went out to check up on them they were like ok lady get the flashlight out of our faces please, lol.. But at least I knew they were ok.. But boy am I tired today... |
