Depends on the saddle. Some are made to set behind the shoulders and some made to set farther forward |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | I have always heard a treeless and flex tree saddles is a no no for horses that have kissing spine, I was tolded a treed saddle was the best for horses with KS, I dont have a horse with KS but have talks with others that did. But my understanding was the horses needed that support of a treed saddle. |

Location: Cocoa, Florida | I have a Tammy Fischer just because I ride multiple horses and it fits pretty much everything I've ridden so far! Your JBN should be okay? Did you get a wide or regular tree? That can make a difference and so can your pad with a treeless |

I agree with Roxie. The treeless and flex tree are a no no for a horse with KS. |

Location: Back in MT BABY!!! | If your horse already has issues with her spine...I would stay clear of saddles designed to fit behind the shoulder. Good Luck I've come to the conclusion that saddle shopping sucks :( |

Location: MN | My horse had the surgery also, treeless is a NO NO! You need to keep any and all pressure off the back. For my horse, I keep the saddle behind the shoulder because he is so wide. I'm having problems with fitting also. If you go to smartpak, look up saddle wedge. There are 2 kinds, one that lifts the saddle up by the withers and the other that lifts the saddle up in the rear. I would buy the one that lifts it up off the rear in the mean time, I got one and it helps. |

Per my vet, flex trees are okay. Treeless are not. |
