I am going to be doing a 5 week (or longer) internship in Kanab Utah at Best Friends Sanctuary in February-March of 2018. I need to find my own lodging while I am there and it looks pretty desolate! Does anyone live in this area that could recommend places to stay or might rent a room out to me or let me work for it? I'd be working all day at the Sanctuary so only home at night and I plan to travel during the weekends to explore Utah. I am very responsible, clean and could list a dozen references. thanks for any help!

Awesome!! yes, I have been wanting to go there for years! I cannot wait. :) I've heard they also have a vegetarian cafeteria with really good food and I'm excited about that. Maybe it'll turn into a career. :) THanks and glad to hear!

When I was in high school rode we kept horses at a place in Fredonia, Arizona. It was like 10 miles from Kanab. I can't remember the name of it but I remember it was right off the road between the towns. Maybe try there?
