Location: Southern Alabama | Well... I own this mare. So, I just thought I'd get other very good opinions. She will do a little of everything, all around mare. However, she will never be bred. |

She is pretty heavy in the front end. I do a lot of stuff with her moving her shoulders over and keeping her really soft. |

I own this mare. So, I just thought I would ask what others thought about her... curiousity, I suppose. |

| She is heavy on the front end, light on the back end. She lacks overall natural muscle tone that I’d like to see and isn’t that well balanced. Her back could be a little shorter. Her pasterns are a little too sloped for my liking; I’d rather they were a little more upright. I would also like to see better bone on a horse too.
I think for what you said you would be using her for she would be well suited. Based on her looks (and only looks) she’s not going to blow the socks off anyone, but could be a good working horse.

This is what I wanted! lol. I think she is heavy in the front end, as well. These pictures are quite deceptive, however. Because she is short in the back. I need to get some better pictires of her and let y'all see them. |

Location: West Texas | She doesn't seem very balanced. She has a fairly shallow hip and is straight in hocks. Her neck tie in is not very clean. I am always hesitant to give negative opinions of anyones horse. If it is for academic purposes, I hope that helps you. The number 1 thing in conformation is balance. Balance is hard to describe but you know it when you see it. |

Eh. I don't mind, really. I actually enjoy the constructive criticism. But, I understand your reasoning. And, I know what you mean. However, she is a splendid mover, super, super, SUPER athletic and so soft, everywhere except her front end. So, I have started doing a lot more with moving her front end around. These pictures aren't the greatest. Maybe I should get some more and post them. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I agree with everything said about her conformation. First thing that caught my eye was her neck tie in. A neck that ties in that low has a very hard time catching wind to breathe when the breastcollar is pulled back by the saddle. It'll cut a horses wind off real quick with a neck that low. I agree with how fron heavy she is. She lacks a lot on the back end and has very straight back legs that lack muscle and definition. Straight up hocks and an underbelly that is longer than her topline. I like to see the underbelly be exaclty half the distance of the topline. I like her color and stripes tho.

Not normally. She normally stands pretty square. |

I've seen beautiful made horses look like pack horses in pictures. I know, I have taken quite a few. They always want to stand like they are playing a game of twister.... |

In all honesty... she is probably one of the nicest horses I have ever had the pleasure of being around. She is kind of salty and gritty natured, but, I adore her. I will try and get better pictures... ones that don't make her look like a old mule of some kind... |
