Location: The best kept secret in TX | It's rainy. I'm cold. Anyone willing to share a good soup/chowder/or chili recipe with me? Paleo, Vegan, Vegetarian, any meat, all meat, healthy, not healthy, and everything in-between is welcome.
I have lots of recipes for soup, chowder, and chili but I'm a little bored with my variations.
Also, I'm looking for a new cornbread recipe to go with chili or beans. Those are welcome too.
Thank you guys!
ETA: I only make my cornbread in a cast iron skillet. I also have a dutch oven I love if anyone has any good recipes that are soup/chowder/chili for my Dutch oven.

| I don't have an actual recipe because I tend to just throw stuff in and pray it turns out! I do use steak in my chili along with burger, bacon, sometimes sausage, a variation of peppers and lots of spices. What I think makes it really good is to add Tequilla, a can of beer and I throw some red wine in if I have it. |

****** I have made this with homemade creamed corn and potato soup when I tried to steer from so many canned foods......this tastes great EITHER way (of course so much easier with canned! I have also added instant potatoes and some cream when I didn't have any potato soup and that was really good, too!

This is an absolutely delicious cornbread - not a dry, crumbly type. So good with chili. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ree-drummond/cheesy-jalapeno-cor...
Chicken gumbo (divide this recipe by AT LEAST 4 - it makes a TON of soup) http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/chicken-gumbo
Leftover hambone soup - I used mild white chili beans, undrained instead and it was AWESOME http://****delicious.net/2013/12/25/leftover-hambone-soup/
Easy white chicken chili - I made this with pheasant breast and stirred in a little plain Greek yogurt http://www.gimmesomeoven.com/5-ingredient-easy-white-chicken-chili-...

We have always put beer in our chili. You'd be amazed at what it does for meat. Tequila? I can get a buzz and get full at the same time. sounds great. |

Location: the end of the rainbow | My husband makes amazing ham & sweet potato soup. He cooks one of the white sweet potatoes and purees it with some milk to thicken the soup towards the end. Ham, sweet potatoes, whatever veggies you like & enough red pepper flakes to give it the zing you like. Yummmmy.
