| The White House released a list of new appointments Tuesday morning and some top Obama administration names were included. Among them were Valerie Jarrett, his White House senior adviser, and Susan Rice, the national security adviser, who will both become general trustees to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Ben Rhodes, deputy national security adviser for strategic communications and chief salesman of the Iran nuclear agreement, was appointed as a member of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Council.
Maine independent Sen. Angus King also found himself appointed to the Roosevelt Campobello International Park Commission.
Obama also placed former NBA players Jason Collins and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Olympic gymnast Gabrielle Douglas to the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition. Carli Lloyd, a forward for the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, was named co-chair of that same council.
"I am proud that such experienced and committed individuals have agreed to serve the American people in these important roles," Obama said in a statement. "I know they will serve the American people well."

Members of the Kennedy Center Board, will not be paid.

The Council, which meets twice a year, consists of 55 members appointed by the president, as well as five members each from the Senate and House of Representatives and three ex-officio members from the Departments of Education, Interior, and State.....NONE get paid!

There's a prime example of public servants going out into the private sector continuing to do God's work for the benefit of mankind, and getting little in return. |

I hear the Saudis and Russians are keeping the donations pouring in to the Clinton Foundation......being the humanitarians we all know them to be. In fact, "Occupy Democrats", verified this, along with Snopes. I bet the Clinton Foundation has to hire more people just to keep up with all the donations pouring in, so Bill and Hillary can continue their wonderful work in Haiti. Bill and Hillary have worked hard to earn their hundreds of millions over the last 17 years.

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I'm sad at the news that the donations to the CGI have slowed down drastically. It was such a wonderful cause. Why would donations slow so drastically? I'm scratching my head over this. I mean when one talks about generous philanthropic-minded countries, at the top of the list we all think of Russia, Algeria, Nigeria, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Russian donors contributed $145 million to the foundation, and they paid Bill $500,000 for a 20 minute speech. I hope the Clintons are able to make it through these trying times. They've paid their dues. Heck they were broke when they left the White House. That's why they stole some of the furniture when they left.
I'm sure the donations will start pouring in again. It's a wonderful cause. |

Where did you read that? I saw where the Feds gave The National Endowment of Humanities and they used $6000 for that study. However, the entire projects of the National Endowment of Humanities did receive about 21M from the Feds. |
