| Does anyone have any updates if the ERA will be running this year? I noticed that FT is competing in the WPRA now? I thought she was banned because she was a share holder in the ERA? Did she sell her shares? I'm so confused!!! | |

Fallon was never "banned." Ever. At any point. I think that's the only reason her fans could come up with as to why she wasn't at the 2016 NFR.
PRCA did not allow ERA shareholders to compete in its rodeos. WPRA had no such rule in place. (See Lisa Lockhart.)

| I think I remember at the beginning of last year Fallon said that she was just going to focus on the ERA tour because she was having surgery on her knee and the stress and recovery period would be less than if she was doing WPRA. Also she was having issues in her marriage so I think she's recovered from both and is ready to go back to WPRA. (and has to since the ERA is no longer.)

This year (2017) the WPRA was going to follow the PRCA and not let shareholders compete. I belive Fallo "sold" her share to her parents.

| The ERA is taking a year off to regroup and rebuild.
Fallon came out with a big snapchat after the WPRA said they were going to ban shareholders in 2017. SHE was the one in that snapchat that said the WPRA was banning her and that her minions...I mean fans, should call the WPRA and tell them how they felt about Fallon being banned from an association she had been a member of for the past 25 years.

My thoughts exactly LOL I have nothing against Fallon. She is a marketing genius but most of the tweens and teeny boppers around here worship her like a god. I wonder how their parents feel after Santa brought them the expensive fringed tack sets and now Fallon doesn't even wear them anymore LOL too funny.

Well, I think for those who have followed Fallon from the beginning, we understand she is a fad promoter. Every month or year she's touting a different product that contradicts the last. Saddles(Synthetic to vortex to treeless to Cactus, etc), polos vs boots, supplements, etc.
I think when it comes to ANYTHING you use or put on your horse, common sense is what you should listen to, not a "celebrity barrel racer". You know, don't not put a breast collar on your horse because Fallon says so, think about why you need one and make an intelligent decision for yourself.
To use a back cinch and NOT a breast collar seems dangerous to me though, I'd be scared I the cinch ever broke the back cinch would let it loop around the horses back legs and trip them. Atleast the collar would hold it forward. My two cents.

Thanks TM Equine! I was pretty sure I watched Fallon and her squad announce that the WPRA was banning share holders in 2017 and that she would be one of them, but I guess if the ERA is taking a year off it must not apply especially if she sold her shares or something.
I totally agree with you guys on how she is a marketing genius and a total trend setter! Her tack promotions have always looked like cheap quality to me (especially the ones with the fringe and colors). There are so many better manufacturers where you can get better quality for a similar price!
I've been following her since she was running Chuck and it's been interesting seeing her change everything up, like going from extremely short hair to her curly mermaid extensions to a more straight hair look now and all of her tack/feed changes. I liked her best when she first started running Babyflo before she qualified for the NFR, but still follow along out of curiosity- maybe to see which way she will go next! Haha!
I don't think a plain leather breast color would add much weight to Babyflo! I personally would feel more comfortable with a back cinch and a breast collar. I think Fallon used to run her with out a breast collar for a while when she first started running her.

Really people.
I don't understand focusing on the negativity, and trying to break someone down.
I am not a big fan of Fallon's the only horse I know she owns is Baby Flo, and I do think it is amazing that she has shared her journey with everyone. She has done a lot to promote the sport of barrel racing and rodeo.
Fallon has also done wonders with promoting helmet safety, if you would have asked me 4 years ago if I would ever wear a helmet, I would have said no. This past year I lost a dear friend to a head injury caused by a horse related accident. Fallon has definitely made it easier to wear one. And I know she wasn't the first one to wear it, but she definitely made it more main stream.
As for people calling her down on switching saddles like a flavor of the month, how many have us have went through 3/4 saddles on our hard to fit horses, then when we think we have the perfect fit, then the horse builds more muscle mass and we are back at square 1. Fallon may be doing the same thing.
Also the more education we acquire, our behaviors/choices change, she may be transitioning as a person.
Come on people have a little class, we all have demons in our past, it is not our place to judge, people do change, and we need to be lifting each other up, not cutting each other down.

I love this board but the negativity and constant "need" to rip others down, like FT, is really unfortunate and says a lot about the posters IMO. I am by no means her biggest fan and honestly knew very little about her a few years ago. However, she has taken the heat on a lot of touchy subjects. She has given a lot of confidence to those out there without the best rigs or the fanciest horses. I love following her on snapchat and seeing the behind the scenes.
All of the "opinion" seem awfully judgmental and very jealous. She openly talks about using a treeless or those synthetic types to eliminate some weight. The girl would save a family from a burning home and you would always find a reason to be nasty about her.

Lol this is definitley the pot calling the kettle black. Nobody was classless or negative. We are allowed to make jokes and point out things that are TRUE. Nowhere did we say untruthful or hurtful things. Fallon has changed her mind at every corner or has lost/changed sponsorship so often it's OK for us to doubt the validity of a product she represents.

I disagree, you can have your own opinion. You can choose not to buy the products she endorses but your comments are rude. Even the "touting."
verb
gerund or present participle: touting
1. attempt to sell (something), typically by pestering people in an aggressive or bold manner.
It's rude and the fact that you find no problem with it is even more disappointing. I have never bough a FT product, I am happy with my tack and setup and cant afford extra's right now. People can make their own choices without your negativity chirping away. Do you see how many people use a back cinch without a breastcollar? Go to a barrel race and take note, a lot of people do.
And yes, ERA was not going to allowed FT and any other shareholder to compete as of 2017. So essentially she was banned and asked her followers for support. I think if this was anyone else, no one would be complaining but I think the fact that she has so many numbers behind her, intimidates people.

| I too fail to see where anyone bashed her. Fallon herself started the rumor she was banned from the WPRA.
She is a marketing genius. She buys cheap horses, works with them for a few months and then sells them high. Hey, more power to her if she can do that off of her name. She's done this for YEARS and it's nothing new.
She DOES change what she promotes every year. Again, more power to her. That's what a free market system is all about.
Unfortunately, she also has a not so great past. When you put yourself out there with celebrity like status....people are going to talk. TMEquine - 2017-02-02 6:40 PM SKM - 2017-02-02 5:36 PM The ERA is taking a year off to regroup and rebuild. LOL I'm sure the WPRA appreciated the ridiculous calls from tweens everywhere who worship Fallon.
Saddles (Synthetic to vortex to treeless to Cactus, etc ), polos vs boots, supplements, etc.
Cheryl.
There are people that I don't love in WPRA but I don't tear them down online. That doesn't make me feel like a good person when I do that.
I repeat, it's OK to have a different opinion, but it doesn't mean it's "negative". It's just not yours.
I disagree, you can have your own opinion. You can choose not to buy the products she endorses but your comments are rude. Even the "touting."
verb
gerund or present participle: touting
1. attempt to sell (something ), typically by pestering people in an aggressive or bold manner.
I would say touting was the perfect verb based on your description... does she not promote her products in a BOLD manner?

She is a marketing genius. She buys cheap horses, works with them for a few months and then sells them high. Hey, more power to her if she can do that off of her name. She's done this for YEARS and it's nothing new.
She DOES change what she promotes every year. Again, more power to her. That's what a free market system is all about.
Unfortunately, she also has a not so great past. When you put yourself out there with celebrity like status....people are going to talk. She's a very pretty woman that tried her hand at acting and modeling. I'm sure a lot of that stuff she'd like to forget about. At least people aren't posting those pictures, lol!
I am not using the term "bashed" but I think if this was Lisa Lockhart or Sherry Cervi or some other big name, these snarky comments would seize to exist.
I can respect that people don't like her but I just think you can word things more respectfully. She has a lot more than just "tweens" that follow her. Have you ever seen the people at her clinics? Plenty of teens, youth but also many adults.
I think she promotes what is working for her and I think it is common for people to change it up ... however, when she does, it has a much bigger effect.
Just because someone is a "celebrity" shouldn't justify nastiness. There are a lot of celebrities I don't like but I don't go around being disrespectful towards them. I just don't watch their movies, buy their music, etc.

I suppose I am wasting my breath but I guess I don't see her advertisements as any different than anyone else's. She is just more active with the public which makes them seem more bold. She tells you what she uses on Babyflo and why. I guess I have never considered it as an "aggressive" approach.

Here is where I would say: if you ask for celebrity status, be ready for celebrity treatment.
Anyone who has done as many negative things(again alot of her fans haven't followed her from the start, so they don't see it) as FT has done and continues to publically make contradictory decisions or change products so drastically is open for public criticism.
What we said was mild and light. Not classless and aggressive.
These are rodeo athletes, and we are enttiled to make decisions about how we feel about them. If this were a football or hockey star, Noone would bat an eyelash at the heinous hate and extreme praise they bounce back and forth from.

Guess we will have to agree to disagree. I don't like seeing comments about any celebrity. I think its distasteful and just because theyre a celebrity, doesn't make them more important than anyone else. I also try not to take "bad business" claims to heart because unless I was there, I know how many ways a horse deal can go south. Sometimes dishonest seller and sometimes stupid buyers LOL. So... I do know her past which is why I wouldn't buy a horse from her but doesn't change my overall opinion.

I guess I am not sure what you are implying but Kimmie wall also wears the flashy tack and clothes. She also has snapchat and highly endorses her products. Yet I never see any mean comments (thankfully). I just think it is interesting how many people talk about FT and even though others are doing very similar things, she is the only one being talked about. Just an interesting observation.

Yet none of you can seem to actually explain how FT differs from any of the rest of the girls. Yes, she has a past and some people have been supposedly screwed over through her horse sales. I know just about every horse trader who has the same rep at one time or another. Sometimes, they didn't screw anyone at all but its people that don't do their homework or don't have the ability to ride said horse.
Yes she wears loud clothing and is in the public eye. My point is that there are other examples of this, Kimmie wall is just one of them. But none of the other gals' are scrutinized the same on here. I just find it annoying.

I just think it is interesting how many people talk about FT and even though others are doing very similar things, she is the only one being talked about. Just an interesting observation.
I don't think she means the clothes or the snapchat...it's really all in the presentation and delivery of a message.
I'm not trying to dig this up again, but Kimmie is a very different person than Fallon, even if they wear similar clothing.
Lol I can, if you'd like to have a private conversation about it. I don't really feel like drudging this thread backup haha.

Some ladies conduct themselves with grace, style, manners and honestly in both their private and public lives.
It's hard to come up with snarky comments about respectable people

Correct
I was not referring to style of clothing or promotion of products

Here is where I would say: if you ask for celebrity status, be ready for celebrity treatment.
Anyone who has done as many negative things (again alot of her fans haven't followed her from the start, so they don't see it ) as FT has done and continues to publically make contradictory decisions or change products so drastically is open for public criticism.
What we said was mild and light. Not classless and aggressive.
These are rodeo athletes, and we are enttiled to make decisions about how we feel about them. If this were a football or hockey star, Noone would bat an eyelash at the heinous hate and extreme praise they bounce back and forth from.

This would be true if we were talking about Sherry Cervi, Lisa Lockhart, etc... I would trade places with those women any day.
