| Having issues with my mare and have had a couple of people tell me it may be hind gut ulcers. Has any one used Succeed or KER Rite Trac or Dynamite Miracle Clay? |

| I used Succeed on 2 horses with suspected hind gut ulcers. It helped some, but for the price I didn't think it worked as well as other products I have used. As soon as I took them off of it, they started up with mild symptoms again. |

| Animal Element has a product called NuTrack that works great on hind gut ulcers, it is very inexpensive I think $40 a bag. Also if you can get your hands on some really good quality alfalfa hay that will help your horse. |

| I tried Dr. DePaulo's ulcer remedy and it was ok. But my favorite one is by Cur Ost, the Stomach and I add the Adapt to it. The horses show improvement right away. In fact, I have 2 on it now. The hot weather this winter has stressed these 2, which is what I think has caused the flare up. 96 degrees in early February is not cool! I also feed my horses alfalfa cubes and grass hay along with some rice bran and flaxseed. No grain. This has helped tremendously.
I wanted to add that I use Forco also. It has made a big difference in my gelding. He has always been stiff in his ribs to the right, but since feeding Forco, he just about bends inside out now.
Since using these products and feeding regimen I have seen a big difference in him. I took him to the vet to get his teeth floated and a chiro check so I can start riding seriously. His teeth were over due by at least 4 months and he hadn't been adjusted in close to a year. However, he only had a couple sharp points and the vet was surprised that he only needed a couple minor adjustments. She is the only one who adjusts him unless my daughter comes down from Colorado. I know the Cur Ost products and Forco are what have helped him the most.

| I had a mare that tried several things. But only saw results with the equishure that KER makes. They have a lot of proven info and studies to back up there info compared to a lot of stuff out there. Never used the rite trac product. |

| I've had good luck with equishure by KER. I've tried THE and the clay and I didn't see results.

Location: IL | I've used many products and I will say Depaolo Excel has worked great and Equishure by KER also worked. I liked Forco but it just wasn't enough. I had no luck with THE, or gastroplex I do love Exceed 6-way for joints and an all around. |

 Vodka for Lunch
Location: Lala Land | My vet recommended Succeed a couple of years ago. My gelding's stool was always somewhat loose even on a grain free diet. After about a week he had normal little clumps, was less cranky when you touched him, and began putting on weight. I fed it to him for 90 days then switched to Forco and never looked back. We have a new horse I suspect ulcers and have been feeding the Succeed for almost 30 days he runs to his dinner now and is starting to gain weight. |

That is wonderful. But doesn't mean any of the supplements didn't work. Most of the time people will have ulcer issues forever until they are willing to look at their own feeding program. I wish more people understood that ulcers are caused by so many things, but it really seems grain products cause the most issues. |

So many things, but from my customer's experience-hind end lameness. Very subtle. Colic type symptoms, sore over loin area, loose poo. It seems to be something people look into after they have treated for gastric with maybe some improvement but not complete recovery. So they treat for hind gut next. There are few products out there that actually work on hind gut ulcers. Found this doing a google search, a good read actually. http://hl.depaoloequineconcepts.com/?q=node/5 |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | The reason THE GastroPLUS works so well, is because it has nutrients that help create it's own natural mucous lining. No masking the issue, it actually allows the body to fix itself. Short of prevention, hindgut ulcers and acidosis are best treated through digestive support supplements – feed additives that promote overall gut health. Most of these digestive support supplements contain natural ingredients designed to sooth, reduce inflammation and promote a healthy pH balance and foster the presence of beneficial gut microbes
