I am coming to the area to try a horse and would like to find someone in the area that is running at the jackpots out there that I could ask for information on the area, arenas and vets out there.

Brazos is ok for lameness but I wouldn't use that as my first choice..I've heard Weatherford Equine is awesome for lameness. I also like Stephenville Equine Sports Medicine but I haven't taken a horse here yet since I just recently moved here. As for arenas...there's a bunch! Lightning Bar has jackpots on Monday and Lone Star Arena is having them every Wednesday in March and on a couple Sundays through March as well. Glen Rose is super close as well and they have a jackpot every Tuesday night.
Thanks for the info! Good to know there are a few weekday races out there. I'm a bit jealous! Sounds like you guys could run barrels all week long. We rarely have a weekday barrel race around here. I would have to have more horses! Lol
BVEH would be my top pick for exam - Dr Charlie Buchanan. Cresson, Alvarado and I think Mineral Wells are on Thursdays Glen Rose Tues Stephenville Wed - no more bulls, it's the full pen BRAT this wknd in Alvarado - walk up and enter thru last 25 with no fees
