It's taken me back, this week, down on my knees in despair. But I understand that prayer is another connection to God. Not just an event. It's not like brushing me teeth, then something I need to do at the start or end of my day. It's a time I need to be still and come before Jesus. At these times, as I have had this past week, I get in my knees before Him, and know its a continual conversation. As I sit in front of my iPad every morning to share my journey with Jesus, I close my eyes for a moment and I ask Jesus to be present and guide me to do all things that will bring glory and honor to Him.
We don't need a certain time of day to pray; instead we can go to Jesus anytime. Longer prayer, and devotional times are important to listen as well as make requests, but Jesus's ear is always attuned to even the smallest request. Each of us can be a praying person, and today is a wonderful day to start.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.
