| I have heard they were lazy. Know 2 people pretty close to me that have own sons and they are both 2d horses. But as a broodmare sire, I feel like you would get an even better horse if crossed on another race line. Did that make sense?

Location: California | I know someone whose whole breeding program is centered around Dash For Perks. They have American Qualifiers, 1D's, 2D's, and 3D's. They are wicked fast but with a brain. They also use their main barrel horses to doctor their cattle and everyday ranch work. I would never hesitate to buy a Dash For Perks. I'd rather be on one I know is super athletic but needs a little "ask" than one that's crazy fast but isn't necessarily safe. |

| Not sure where the fault is.
That being said, I know of a guy who has a Dash for Perks bred stud. Stud has major front feet/leg issues and his offspring do as well. Stud and offspring are fast when they are sound, which isn't much.
I wouldn't own one. |

I'll throw in my 2 cents. Never rode one. Never even been around one personally (that I know of) but they look HARD to ride! It does not look smooth at all but it appears they can still clock. That being said, I have never had a desire to own one.

Location: Texas | I own a son of perk master and I love him. Husband and kids rope on him and I run barrels on him. My husband who does not even run barrels has clocked in the 2d on him. |

Location: Desert Land | I personally like them. I had a VERY nice Dash For Perks daughter out of a daughter of Disco Jerry. She was so athletic, kind, put together really nice and she was so sweet and easy to be around. She had several full siblings that were stakes placed big money earners at the track including one that had been exported to Brazil. This mare had been a 1D money earner with Add Waddell. I was going to start running her, got her legged up only to have one of my other mares kick her in the hock. She ended up getting a really bad joint infection and almost died at the vet hospital. Fortunately she did live, but unfortunately never came back sound. I sold her to a friend of mine who just checked her in foal to her stallion. |

Location: Idaho | I had a daughter of DFP out of a Streakin Six daughter. I ran two of her get, one was by Frenchmans Fabulous and was a well put together mare that I sold. She was a nice mare. I am currently riding her other colt by Rare News and he is a spitfire. Anything but lazy. Little hot, but very smooth and willing to work. He has a good brain, well built, nice colt. |
