Is anyone here affliated with ACTRA either National office or the Nevada/Idaho or California chapters?
In October last fall my husband as well as several other friends attended a roping in Lone Pine, California. Several of them membered at that roping, the majority to the California chapter and a few to the Nevada/Idaho chapter. To this date none of them have received their memberships or their points for attendance and winnings.
We, collectively as a group have been trying to get a hold of someone so these men and women can get their cards and their standings updated for months. We have been told to call the number on the ACTRA website and have done so with no response. We have also emailed with no response. One individual was able to talk to the husband of what I am told is the national secretary and he advised that person to just pay another membership fee and submit a new application. I personally don't want to pay another $65 for what my husband already paid for and never received. Plus if they were to all pay again and submit another application their points from that October roping would not count for the 2017 standings and roping minimum to attend state finals.
Most of the people that paid for their memberships paid in cash but the ones that paid by check have had their checks clear. If there is anyone that can point me in the right direction with either a name or a phone number I would be greatly appreciative.

I believe I would just write it off as a bad experience and not EVER enter a ACTRA roping again. Any association that can't be reached by phone, fax or e-mail isn't much on the organized side and I wouldn't put much stock into it.

Unfortunately, if you paid by cash, you are probably SOL unless you got a receipt or can get numerous association members to come forward. Those who paid by check have a receipt. I would send a "certified" letter (with return receipt required) with a list of those who paid, etc and demand an answer (and give a timeline....10 days?)
