I know of a local girl who has done very well rodeoing on a DTF son out of a Merridoc daughter.
I only have experience on the Merridoc line itself, LOVE them. I think they have a bit more personality thus making them a bit slower to mature (I've only owned boys that are Merridoc bred so maybe thats why!). But I would own several more!
We owned an own son of Merridoc back in the day and had some nice babies by him. I ran one of his daughters and still have a granddaughter that I am hoping to leg up and run again. I have also ran a DTF. I think that cross would be wicked!! If you could put some of the turn of the DTF into a Merridoc you would be golden!!
I had a Merridoc son, he was out of a Special Effort daughter. Would take 1257362826 more just like him. Speed to spare and lots of turn too. They are extremely smart horses.
