I just downloaded the uber ap and plan to catch a ride using Uber (of lyft) depending on what people think are better.
My question is when do you set the ride up? days before or just a few hours before? once you book it does someone automatically come? I was trying to set one up today for Saturday and it kept saying that my ride would arrive in 2 hours if I booked it so how do you PICK your own time and day and not just have it send someone right when you book?

Just as an FYI, Uber doesn't let you tip on the app. If you want to tip it has to be in cash. I felt like such a jerk the first time I used one, and the driver was SO nice and helpful with all my questions about the city, and then I couldn't tip him!
