My horse is slightly insulin resistant. (not a severe case) He does compete, and is an easy keeper. I am in need of a need of a new feed that is lower in sugar and starch. What would you feed?

Thank you for the replies! I will look into the renew gold, although my local TSC is terrible at keeping things stocked.

You can purchase RG online than have it shipped to your store for pick up for free.  That way you can assure you get it when you need it and it cost no more.

Look into Primeglo. It has a low NSC value and is a concentrated formula so you only have to feed 3 lbs/day to get all of the nutrients out of the diet (so it is great for those easy keepers that dont need a lot of calories). ADM has a whole line of low sugar/low starch feeds.
