Does anybody use tubtrugs for feeding hay? Trying to determine size. I feed one flake of alfalfa on the ground... I sweep first, but would prefer to contain it! :)

I have found they are not heavy enough. They just get rolled and tossed around...then you again have a mess. I don't know how handy you are but we built boxes out of wood and ran a diagonal piece across the top so they couldn't pull the flakes out.

I am not sure on the measurements, but I can find out if you're interested.

Try these. You'll have to attach it to a low panel so they don't move it around but these are great for saving hay. Especially when you're ground feeding.
