| My daughter's 20 yr old mare is looking a bit ribby, even after all the check ups. Total Equine was suggested. What are your experiences with it and how much do you feed? This horse is about 900 pounds 14 hands and is given alfalfa. |

| VERY mixed results. The young horses looked great on it - lean, muscular and shiny. They felt good and behaved well. My gelding fell apart on it. Huge hay belly, ribby and terrible coat. His teeth were checked, wormed him, had a fecal done before and after worming, had his blood checked, no reason was found for him to look like he did. I contacted the guy who made the feed and he told me to just feed less of it. I have found through trial and error this horse does not do good with processed feeds, particularly if corn is in the feed. But he looked the worst on Total Equine. I am pretty sure he had ulcers looking back, now. He has been treated for ulcers and looks great.
The young horses looked and felt great on TE, and they did not get fat on it. |

| Imo if you don't feed quality hay this would be a feed for you. I've never fed it but those that have said its mostly a forage grain. Its expensive and the two people I know that feed it, feed ALOT per day. I'd get your horse good alfalfa and bump that up before going to this grain. |

To me a feed company that told someone to add corn oil to their feed that would be a big red flag.. |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I'll be following. I was just recommended to start my new gelding on it. We dove into our first bag a few days ago. I'm not so sure about feeding solely TE. I am also adding soaked beet pulp, as well as THE MM, and treating for ulcers with THE GastroPLUS. He's on good quality alfalfa, 2 good flakes am, 1.5pm. Free fed Bermuda. He's only been here for coming on two weeks, Sunday. Already putting on some weight, per my untrained eye.
Hoping for good responses seeing as how it's $23 a bag. |

| I've heard it referred to as Total Decline... my trainer feeds it to all his horses and to outside horses. . I kept my horse on blue bonnet while he is over there being ridden... huge difference between my horse and the others there. |

Location: Deep South | I fed it for several months. Had to feed WAY more than the recommended amount and the horses never looked good, just ok. I was feeding two 3yo's and a 5yo all up to date on everything else.
In short, I wouldn't recommend it. |

| Loved the results I had on a broodmare that was dropping weight and a gelding with a poor topline! Filled them right out |

| Sounds like they need to put a warning label; "Individual results may vary." However, for them to suggest corn oil--you know, it will help add fat....Hmmm...no bueno. |

Location: the end of the rainbow | I am not a fan of the company (& their representation of their product) or the formulation of this feed. The 3rd ingredient listed on their label is bran. Doesn't say if it's wheat bran or rice bran or what. Makes me think their formula may vary depending on market prices & what they can get ahold of cheapest at production time. |

| I didn't have good results either. You have to feed way more than bag recommends. I've tried the "trendy" feeds as I call them and they never deliver. I feed quality alfalfa 2x daily, rice bran w/Purina Enrich, 24/7 pasture and Bermuda once a day. I feed to ALL my horses. Performance, babies, broodmares are all healthy and robust. Enrich was recommend by my vet several years ago and while I did switch to Renew Gold for a short time(another one you have to feed more of)I won't be doing trendy anymore! |

| We've had AMAZING results with it, everything is on it at our place ( ages from 9-25 with a pretty decent work load) they all get 1.5 scoops from a standard 3 quart scoop 2x daily and look amazing on it! It also helped to calm down some of the more "anxious" ones! We've also seen good results with other horses that have been on it, but like any feed it doesn't work for some. We love it though :) |

| Bingo- We feed Renew Gold with ours, but we fed Renew Gold with our old feed and didn't have nearly the same results as we do with Total Equine, so the Total Equine has definetly worked its magic on ours :)

Location: Carpenter, WY | We've used it with great results for about 4 years now. Teehaha is going to be 34 and I think it's really helped her keep her weight on. It's the only supplement I use on her. She gets a scoop of TE and a scoop of shredded beet pulp soaked once a day.

We had the same results. We feed it to some horses and they did pretty good, no big notable change but they did alright. We tried it about a year later and had awful results with it. One thing you do need to notice if you are price comparing it is only in a 40 lb bag |

I had a friend that had the same problem. She called the company and they told her that when you first start them, you should keep your horses off of feed for THREE days, then feed the TE.....whaaaat! Don't feed your horses for three days? |

Oh my lordy, OK, now we got to add corn oil to help with keeping weight on while feeding and if they are new to this feed your horses have to be good and hungry so they will eat it, LOL...All Righty Then |
