Cultural---Ft, Worth
The Water Gardens
Amon G Carter Museum
Cowgirl Hall of Fame
Ft Worth Zoo
TCU
Horsey----Ft Worth
Stock Yards and saddle shops in that area
APHA
Grapevine Mall--not so horsey
Dallas---cultural
Las Colinas
SMU
Dealey Plaza and 6th floor of the book depository ( where Kennedy was shot)
The property where the show Dallas was filmed
Science Place One
Dallas Aquarium
Reunion Tow
All the horsey stuff is mostly in Ft Worth. Dallas is more cultural, but the shopping is terrific. Personally, I love the library but you probably would not.

Location: Willows, CA | M L Leddy on the corner of Main and the stockyards. I forgot about the zoo until it was mentioned above. I was there years ago for the NCHA futurity and had some time. Being from the West I had never seen a whitetail deer, so I went there to see them. Great place. Lots of good places to eat also. | |

Location: Fort Worth / Springtown | I don't know about events - would have to look them up on the net.....I know Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum always has something, but you'll have to look at their schedule -- NCHA and wine/food fest are coming up, there, depending on what day you will be here.
I haven't been, but my mom has, twice, to the Perot Museum, in Dallas and says it is great, and the Dallas Aquarium is next door.
In Fort Worth, the stockyards is just a neat area to go - shopping in Stockyards Station.....eating at Horsehoe Hill on Exchange - I think they have Chicken Fried Steak 5 different ways - the owner, Grady Spears, is very friendly and gracious. And the rodeo is always Friday and Saturday. The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Museum is one I really enjoy.
