Location: PA | Who all has gone in the past? Thinking of going this year. Pros/Cons? Hard to find? Decent hotels in the area??

| I have went the past few years and have enjoyed it. It's at the NY State Fairgrounds which is easy to find. The arena is nice, ground is good, and there is a nice covered warm up pen attached to the coliseum. There are lots of hooks up however you will want to get there Thursday night for the pick of ones closer to the arena. Stalls are nice. Most are either pavement or stone except if you get out in the 4H barn. Those have dirt floors and are more open however year before last we had a down pour and some of them flooded. There is a decent motel about 2 miles from the arena and more a few miles out. There is a target and some shopping plazas south of the fairgrounds about 10 minutes, which is good to know because everything either feels like your in the questionable part of the city or out in the middle of no where.
Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions! :)

| We go every year. Like the previous poster said, it's a nice arena with a covered warm up attached, also an outdoor warm up, and plenty of stalls that are decent. Some of them are on concrete would be a disadvantage to me, but they are nice. It is a fun show. As for the hookups, there are many right up close to the arena on pavement where people are parked closer together, or more room outback that isn't on pavement with more space. I would recommend going, we always have a great time!
And yes, there are many hotels, stores, malls, etc. nearby that are easy to get to. I would say you could get whatever you needed within 10 minutes.
