Location: Kansas | I had a stock combo with the stud wall....I really liked it, unfortunately mine was steel so was almost 6,000lbs just empty. I got rid of it for a smaller three horse slant with drop windows.
I wouldn't hesitate to have an aluminum stock combo with rear tack/dressing room |

Location: NE Texas | I have a Sooner with an 8' SW, full LQ, stock back, and mid tack. Mine actually has slants in it instead of a center cut gate. Hayrack with generator. I LOVE my trailer. It is a great set up, especially considering most of my horses are younger horses, so I can tie them up high to the stock bars rather than to the tie rings. I don't have mangers, so it's very open and not claustrophobic at all. I did after an aftermarket ramp, as it seems these trailers sit alot higher off the ground than a regular living quarters or slant load.
My complaint? Same with every trailer i've ever had.....the exterior lights don't work all of the time, or don't stay working. We are about to have LED light strips installed around exterior and on the interior. That is my only complaint though. |

| I had a stock/combo and did not love it which surprised me because I thought I would love the air flow it provides during the summer months. Granted - mine also didn't have a stud door or an escape door so those were things that contributed to it as well. Mine was a four horse and I didn't like that in the summer I took the plexi glass out for air movement but had to sacrifice being able to store anything (hay, feed, etc.) in the trailer that I wanted to keep dry. I traded it for a trailer that has the drop down windows on the front and the rear and like that significantly better. |

Location: Alberta, Canada | That's what we are in the process of upgrading to.
My reasons:
- I haul with a stock trailer in the winter/close trips. horses prefer it. can haul frontwards or backwards, whatever is best for the horse
- A horse with respiratory issues shouldnt eat in the trailer, even with a net... so my mangers do not get used. would rather just not have them
- multi purpose
- have midtack now and use it more than rear... the mid tacks in the stock combos are HUGE
I have friends who have gone to them and love them. The ones we've looked at are incredible. I think they're a great idea. |

Location: Oklahoma | If you go with a well known brand, you can customize to your wants. Many people are taking stock trailers and adding dressing rooms. This keeps the center cut gates. A true stock combo does have dividers as well as no slider gate on the rear gate. Stock combos also have rubber on the walls and floor mats where stock trailers that are converted do not. |

Location: Silver Lake, MN | I had a stock combo with full LQ and loved it...it was really nice for young horses. My complaint was also I had to keep the slats in at least half of it to keep things dry. Mine had drop down windows on the front so that was nice. I did not have a mid tack though and seemed like there just wasn't enough room for storage. I told it and just have a 3H with no LQ while I'm trying to decide if I want to go back to a LQ again or not. I hate spending money. LOL. |

| My stock combo has slants and I love it! I do have an escape door so if I want to use the front hole for storage, it makes it easier. I can pull some or all of the partitions out of it and head to tail 4 in my 3 horse (no mangers, obviously). The full back door makes loading the most reluctant horse much easier. Can us it as a stall on long trips. Can haul calves in it if needed. I thought long and hard before I ordered it and I still love it after 24 years!

| I absolutely love mine! I've had two Platinum combos, they hold their value indefinitely.
I don't like slants but ordered a full stock gate at a slant with 4' so if I need to haul something mean or a stud, I just stick him on the front and shut the door. Pretty awesome.
My horses haul so much better than they do when I haul with friends with slants, they seem to like the room. |

I'd love to see your trailer too! We looked at the Platinum and loved it, but with the add ons we wanted, it put it out of our price range. They are such nice trailers! |

Location: Borger, Tx | I have an Exiss stock combo and love it! It has a center gate which I rarely close, most of mine haul together fine they all stand at an angle basically like they are in a slant. I have an escape door and a mid tack with a regular door on one side and a ramp on the other. We can haul my son'\s 4 wheeler to which is nice and if he end up showing steers we can use the trailer for that too!

Location: East Texas | We just sold our 4horse and got a stock with LQ a couple of weeks ago. We have hauled to 2 rodeos so far and it worked great for us. Both have advantages, but for us we liked the mid-tack and we closed the cut gate and stored hay, hoses, etc in front of the gate and hauled 3 horses in the back. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I have just an aluminum stock trailer with a tack area in the nose. Two cut gates. Three compartments. My two like the room. They get bored on trips on the mare would bother the heck out of the gelding so we put the gelding up front, he turns around backward to ride. And we put the mare at an angle tied. I have removed the cut gates before and hauled open with the horses at an angle and fit them in that way. I was worried they would kick each other but everyone got along just fine. I have also hauled colts open without halters and it's worked just fine too.

Location: SW North Dakota | I have a 2015 Platinum stock combo with 12' SW LQ. My "horse box" has a straightwall, so the mid tack has one slant, one straightwall. I put my gate at 6' so I can gate one or two horses and haul 3 or 4 behind. Happily, I can easily haul 6 head. There are days I wish I had a slide out in my LQ, but I didn't trust it not to break. Our mid tack is full width, but with two kids who run 8 events combined, its still too small. We have a 8x10 fully enclosed haypod, which is helpful. Overall I love it. It does sit higher, but I'd rather make the horses jump up than knock the caps off my pooper tank every time I fill fuel.
Like Herbie, my outside lights are deadbeats. UGH.
Compass conversion... They have been phenominal to work with. |

It has a slam gate release on the outside of the trailer. It's a HOOK. It's literally 8-10" from a tie loop. I need to cut it off before someone gets their halter hung up on it!

Mine have handles. You can take your trailer to the Mfg and get them switched out. |

Ohhhhh, we should talk about satelite. I didn't order one, as I thought we wouldn't need it. But starting April 1, we are in it 2-3 nights a week until the end of September. I need to find an aftermarket deal with Dish service. I think it's only $5/mo for the subscription once I buy the dish. |

Yep, it's a small fee per month. Has been the biggest asset for us. My husband doesn't ride and he loves watching sports, especially football, so now he never misses a game. Just be sure you turn it on once a week so it updates.
We considered the "tail-gater" package through Dish before deciding on the on board version, and so glad we decided to get it. |

Strange that it's a hook, I wouldn't like that either.
Ours gate release is a handle. It's really handy unloading p*ssy bulls, it's actually my favorite position to operate when unloading cattle period. Opening the gate from the inside is not where you want to be.
I want a stock combo LQ with a mid tack for our next one. I'm hoping their recent surge in popularity means we'll start seeing more reasonably priced used ones |

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | I have a 24 ft. stock combo that we love!! We have hauled 7 head in it to the jackpots, roping calves, bucking bulls- you name it!! I'd never want a LQ with the stock combo, hence the reason mine is now for sale. Since we bought another big trailer, I've got to part with mine... it will be a sad, sad day when it leaves. |

My kids are JH/HS rodeoing now and are pretty self sufficient. My daughter runs 6 events and is the ND JH Rodeo Queen, so we are busy all day at the JH rodeos, but my son ropes calves right away in the morning at the HS rodeos and team ropes about 5 hours later. If the weather is nice, I like sitting in the stands and visiting. If the weather sucks, I would much prefer to sit in the trailer all alone and watch "My 600-lb Life." |

It's really a shame we don't live closer. I could certainly enjoy a little of that, and we'd kill any spare time exchanging college "war" stories. Hours of entertainment there, as we know. |
