Location: The best kept secret in TX | I loaned my Essential oils out that I use for my allergies.... Smart. I know. I've taken an alergy pill (Equate Brand) and I almost fell asleep driving to work this morning. Got a coffee and I can't even taste it thanks to my stuffy nose. I tried a nose spray I had in the office for "emergency situations". Sprayed the recommended dose and tried to suck it up my nose... but It trickled out my nose... Beautiful picture isn't it? I'm pretty sure my allergies are laughiing at me by now.
Any remedies I can try until I get my oils back on Sunday!? I'm dying... And I can't even taste my coffee.... |

| Maybe try the trailer park?? LOL! Don't have any suggestions really. My husband is in the same boat. He's taken the green allergy pill, a Claritin ready tab and sprayed with Flonase. That and an energy drink and he sort of felt human. I thought he was going to have to go the ER with all that crap in him, but it seemed to help and he's still alive. ;)

Do you have any Oregano essential oil with you? That really helps my allergy and sinus infections. I just put 2 drops of oil with 5 drops of FCO in a gel cap. If I put the oil in water, I burp Oregano all day, but not if I put it in a gel cap. |

Oh my goodness how funny!!!! I laughed so hard!!! And then my laughing turned into a coughing fit... and then I couldn't breath.
But i'm good now!
Maybe I'll run to the cafeteria here at work and grab an energy drink. Coffee isn't helping me much. |

I do! I have a keychain I keep with me with the basics but I never thought of Oregano. I don't have a gel cap with me tho :/. Darn.
I pre Mix my allergy blend and keep it in a roller ball and a small bottled blend. It works wonders for me. I loaned it to my friend who works with Mules all day and he said he will most likely just buy the whole bottle off me. (It's a 10mL bottle and a 5mL roller.) He doesn't want to give them back LOL.
So I guess I need to make a trip to our health food store so I can restock my allergy blend. |

| If you are stopped up you need a decongestant or an allergy med w/ a decongestant like allegra d. Add Flonase am and pm for a few days. I don't have bad allergies but if I have a night where I'm stopped up I just use Flonase for a few times and I'm good.
If you are really stopped up use afrin but no more than about 2 days in a row or it will stop you back up. Hope you feel better. |

I was told to take it in my water, but for some reason, I burp. It's definitely allergy season, isn't it? Hope you get to feeling better. |

Thank you! I'll try and choke it down in some water. I have terrible acid reflux so I'm sure I'll be burbing later. I'll keep you updated. I hope I get to feeling better too. My entire office is looking at me like I have two heads... I guess I get to be "that guy" today. You know: the sickly, snorting, coughing, dry heaving, blow your nose every 5 seconds, annoying one? Yup. Someone get me a badge cause I'm "That Guy" today! |

Location: NE Texas | I took allergy shots as a kid, and as an adult I have had to take a Claritin D every day of my life and get two depmedrol shots a year just to be able to breathe. Two years ago after discovering Cur-Ost for my horse and then testing it on a coworker, I decided to try it for myself and my allergies. I now take less than 12 allergy pills a year and haven't had a depo shot in 2 years. It's amazing. Everyone around me is suffering with allergies and i'm over here like "I'm all good!". Never thought that would be possible. Not to mention, it will help with digestive issues, arthritis issues, and any other conditions that are associated with inflammation and a dysfunctional immune system, which is nearly everything. I used the HU Ultimate and HU Immune for about 60 days together, and then maintian on the HU Ultimate. Soooooo thankful for what these products have done for both me and my horses! |

This part made me giggle. Testing it on a coworker first is funny.
I will look into this. I usually don't have any symptoms and if I do they go away in a few minutes after I use my allergy blend.
Now I've gotta google this CurOSt thing you're talking about.

Now he's on Claritin and it has helped him become human again without the sleepiness. Hope you're feeling better. It's been a rough start to the spring for our household. |

I'll agree to that. My brother swears by Claritin but I usually don't keep it around. The wind picked up last night and I think that's why I have a bad case this morning. All that Pollen isn't good for anyone.
Didn't hit me hard until I was already out the door. |

HA! It's true, but her issues were different with severe fibromyalgia and athritis. She did a cartwheel in front of my office after 2 weeks and was able to get off her pain meds. At that point I knew it was legit for sure!

| I take the Human CurOst and they now have a separate website for all the human CurOst products. I have been taking the Ultimate, Immune, Pure, Adapt & Calm and the Meta Support. It has finally helped with my digestive issues as long as I eat right. I did have some problems about a month ago with Allergies and had to take some over the counter stuff but it eventually cleared up. |

| I use a Nettie pot when mine are bad to flush out the dust and pollens, the i follow up with a nasal spray. Makes a huge difference if i come in from riding in a dusty arena and use it - I did not do this last night as we got home at 11pm and went straight to bed. I'm paying for it now. |

What is a Nettie Pot? Is it like steam?
My mother used to boil water on the stove and have us hover with a rag over our heads to clear us out. Can't remember if it worked or not. LOL |

A nettie pot looks like a little tea pot. You use warm saline and it goes up one nostril, through the sinus cavities, and back out the other nostril, clearing out all the gunk in there. I tried to use one for about a year, but didn't have any significant improvement. |

Yes, it would. My coworker keeps her tramadol prescription, but only has to take one in the evenings during the winter when it's cold. She was able to start exercising after about a month on the Cur-Ost and actually is kick boxing now. She was experiencing alot of GI issues due to the pain meds she had taken for years, and that too has subsided and she's lost about 30 pounds as a result of getting active and her GI system functioning correctly.
The problem with these diseases is they are so progressive and it has taken a long time for them to get to the point they are at, so while there will be instant improvement, the healing takes a long time as well, so continued improvement will be gradual and over time, as the body is able to heal itself once the inflammation is managed. Some damage and scar tissue is not reversible, but if we can slow down the progression and heal what is able to be healed, then the quality of life greatly improves. |

Very thankful for the information. I do believe I will order her some! |

I use a Nettie pot when mine are bad to flush out the dust and pollens, the i follow up with a nasal spray. Makes a huge difference if i come in from riding in a dusty arena and use it - I did not do this last night as we got home at 11pm and went straight to bed. I'm paying for it now.
This - I think the Nettie helps because it flushes out all the crap. |

| Right on Herbie! I was a skeptic at first on the CurOst but I kept at it and I am finally noticing significant healing. I have a bad back and it has a tendency to go out but the CurOst will not fix that so I went to a Chiro and she has gotten me back in alignment again. But as far as the allergies go they were not near as bad as some of the other people that I work with here. I also take a Curmin/Turmeric supplement also from Terry Naturally and that in combo with the CurOst seems to help and I have been able to cut off the Advil/Aleve, etc. Now if I can just lose some of this weight so I can get back to my horses. |

I use my nettie pot to flush out gunk also. Just seems to help keep infections down.
If your sinus are stuffed up, your nasal passages are probably inflamed also and as a result are smaller/narrower. My ENT doctor told me to take ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling so the gunk can move/be blown out of my nose and sinus passages. It seems to make a big difference -- along with taking Flonase and Afrin and using the nettie pot -- to clear mine out when it gets bad. If I don't take ibuprofen, the gunk doesn't move no matter what else I use, including Mucinex. |

This is very interesting. Thanks Red Raider. Didn't think about the inflamation.
Just as an update, I have one nostril free! The other is being stubborn.
Now my ears are clogged up... I heard garlic oil and mullin oil help with this... but again, that is at home. I keep popping them but oh my goodness does that ever make me dizzy. I do believe today is starting to turn into a bad day... Well... maybe just a few bad hours. |

So happy to hear things are improving for you, I know it's been a long road! Sorry I haven't checked on you recently, I don't get to get on bhw as much as I used to due to work being a bit hectic, but it makes me smile to hear you're doing well. About 3 months ago I added about 3 tbs of Braggs apple cider vinegar to my morning Cur-Ost mix, and that has really helped propel my husband's stomach issues to even more normal. Might be something to look in to. :)
Again, so happy to hear you're seeing improvement! Well done! |

Location: Aubrey, Texas | If you don't want to use a Netti Pot, there is a product called NeilMed Sinus Rinse. It is a plastic bottle with a squirt-type lid (hard to describe) that you can use standing up in the shower. It has the same effect. I have been taking Cur-Ost Pure and Revive (human formula) since late Fall because my shoulders were really bothering me. They didn't hurt anymore- until I ran out of the V8 juice I mix it all in- and the pain started coming back Big Time! I was hurting until I could get some more V8- then it took a couple of days to reduce the inflammation. I'm 95% pain-free now. As an added bonus, my allergies are almost gone- I've only taken 2 Benadryl so far, and that was because I cannot remember to NOT rub my eyes, after I've messed with my horse or my dog, until I've washed my hands and face. I'm usually a walking Zombie during Tree Season. I'm not used to feeling this good! |

| If you are stopped up you need something with the pseudoephedrine in it. Those products are usually behind the counter. The nettie pot only seems to help me for about 15 min. I take a generic pseudoephedrine product and then a prescription flonase spray. When I am really having a bad time I also use Vicks Vapo rub around my nose and under it when I go to bed. That will for sure open you up. I have the dang allergies all year long, I guess that is the price I pay for not ever getting the flu. I work at a drug store so I get some of the best advice. |

| If you've really got a good sinus infection going the Nettie pot can take a bit. You'll have enough junk up there that what you flush out will be pretty quickly replaced, but I find it helps me clear it out.
I like that if I'm really struggling I can just go use it again, move some more out, and repeat. I've been told to always use distilled water and I usually warm it for about 20 seconds in the microwave and then mix in a saline packet that comes with the pot.
Biggest improvement for me has been when I use it as soon as I feel ick coming on, the salinity will help adjust the Ph in your sinuses and make it harder for gunk to grow, or so I've been told. |

Location: Cocoa, Florida | I live in Florida, everything is always blooming so I have allergies 365 days out of the year! I get allergy headaches and pressure a lot, and when I sleep I can't breath well! Claritin D and Allegra D work well, if it gets really bad I use a nasal spray prescribed by my doctor |

| Work on boosting your immune system and your allergies should be greatly reduced.
If your immune system is working well everything you are allergic to shouldn't bother you nearly as much!
A lot of people just treat the symptoms but don't work on supporting themselves so they don't get the symptoms in the first place. |

I took allergy shots as a kid, and as an adult I have had to take a Claritin D every day of my life and get two depmedrol shots a year just to be able to breathe.
Which Curost product are you using and how much of it are you taking? |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Thanks for all the replies. Woke up today with an unstuffed nose, ears are still stopped up and it hurts to breath. My whole body feels like it got hit by a Mac Truck. Twice.
I slept with a humidifier and diffused Doterra's breath all night. My nose was running so bad after a few minutes I had to change my pillow cover. I borrowed some Flonase from my mom yesterday and she loaded me up with some meds. So far I've taken Alka Seltzer Severe Cold and Congestion (Always works for my body aches.) and I've taken an allergy pill as well. Waiting for the alka seltzer to wear off and then I have some Severe Sinus by Tylenol that I'll take after that.
I'm traveling to Austin, TX from Fort Worth after work.... I think I'll go home at lunch and maybe see a doctor. Antibiotics always terar my stomach up.
Anyone recommend a good probiotic I can take if they gve me an antibiotic instead of a steroid shot? |

Location: CTX | I take zyrtec most days (when I don't forget...) and flonase. But lately that combo has not helped me much... A friend of mine told me about drops for cedar fever. So far I have only found it at HEB, it's called Allergena Texas cedar fever allergy relief. And I am telling you, it works!! I take 10-15 drops am and pm and after 2 days my symptoms cleared up!! Amazon has an allergy relief from Allergena, but it isn't the Texas version, so I don't know if it works just as good... Hope you feel better soon, allergies are no fun.... |

I used the Ultimate with the Immune together for 90 days, then have taken just the Ultimate since. Yes, my allergies are almost non existent, but the benefit far exceeds allergy relief due to the management of inflammation in the body contributing to other conditions.
