I use a probiotic for an occasional boost for specific issues, and a prebiotic, if needed for daily support. I never use probiotics for long term daily use.

stayceem - 2017-03-27 10:16 AM I used Forco and had a lot of success and noticed a lot of difference. However, I have the worlds pickiest eater and he started picking around it.
I mix the granules with beet pulp and water. Others mix it with grain and water.

hammer_time - 2017-03-27 9:46 AM Trying to address some loose stool. Alfalfa is just a tiny bit rich. Probios is easier to get but I've heard good things about Forco....thoughts?
FORCO is a pre-biotic and feeds the good gut flora to keep the gut balanced. FORCO works great for loose and hard stools.
I give a tube of Probios after I de-worm or after antibiotic use and give FORCO daily to my horse, dogs and I take it myself.

My horses and DOGS LOVE their forco. I might have to try it myself. lol Probios is a PRO-biotic ( Live bacteria) and Forco is a PRE biotic. Feeds the flora.

After Cowboys hospitalization he had loose stool. I tried Smartdigest, made it worse, Tried Forco for just over two months, didn't make it worse but also didnt help it improve. Probios has been the only thing that finally gave him normal stool again.
