Ive been all over Europe and you would be amazed at the differences in horse transport over there!!! For any of you that have been, you know what I am talking about. I visited a Thorobred stud farm in Ireland few years ago. Some of the studs there have mares flown into them from all over the world and cost millions of dollars. The day we were there 3 mares got flown in from Australia to breed to one of their studs. You would think a huge semi truck with shavings, etc would bring the mares in... NOPE...... just like what you saw but the tow vehicles were BEAT UP RUSTED OUT toyota tacomas. Flimsy rusted out trailers and the tires didnt even match. Our Prissy barrel horses with big duallys, 100,00+ LQ trailers have it to easy!!!! I guess ours go a few more miles down the road but safety and comfort is not what happens in Europe..
