| You're all so sweet and friendly! Now I wish I'd left my original post as the long version it was with my struggle to make the decision to start riding again! The summary is that I wasn't in an incredibly abusive relationship which caused my riding to stop, ("waste of time and money, and you're not THAT good"), and left me with 0 confidence. To some people it's just picking back up a hobby but for my daughter and I this is a whole new chapter. I'm taking my life back :) Really glad to be here during this time now! |

Your story sounds so similar to mine. I left a year ago and he's still trying to convince me I'm selfish for wanting to ride and barrel race when for 14 years I did everything! Now I'm so happy to be able to make choices without being told they're stupid or selfish. I want to raise my girls to have a voice and stand up for themselves because it took me way too long to do that for myself. |
