I bought a quick stop hackamore and really didnt check it out as I should have. But i have already spent the money. But after putting the headstall on it, I noticed that the headstall moves towards the front of his nose when in use. Is there a "stay" of sorts, that keeps the headstall on the sides? There is no second knot to keep the headstalls in place where it should be. Or should I just make my own and tie a knot on both sides to not allow the headstall to slide frontward. IM thinking that I just should have sent it back. TIA for suggestions

On my little "S" hackmore, I've cut vet wrap into strips and wrapped the area that slipped too much.
