| A friend located in Wisconsin lost her mare and now has an orphan filly. She needs a nurse mare ASAP. Does anyone know of a nurse mare located in the midwest or close? Thanks

Location: Armuchee, GA, NW section of Ga | Sorry about the mare, but Ive raised two bucket foals. It can be done if no nurse mare or goat available. |

| Prayers and hope you figured something out! Goats are cheap and easy to take care of in my opinion, good suggestion |

| Thanks everyone for your help and advice. So far the baby is drinking from a bucket and has a great appetite. SO they are off to a good start. Its not looking good for a nurse mare so they are going the goat milk route. Thanks again! |

Location: Running my kids somewhere. | I am happy to hear that things are going well. I have found out the goat's milk is easier for they to digest than the powder mare's milk. There are milk pellets as well. Once they start picking at feed you can try those. As they get older and the intake increases. The bond with that foal will be irreplaceable. |

Yeah my friend said she nickers at them like they are her mom. It's cute but obviously sad. Thanks for your tips! |
