Location: California | A friend has a bay tobiano colt that I am drooling over. Exactly what I was hoping for if I bred my mare. So I'm toying with the idea of getting him instead. Whether I do or don't she is still open to some clever name ideas!

I have no idea if any of these are clever. But there's a few starters. I feel like one or two may already be used. Never know tho.

Be sure you post them here. I don't really like riding paints all that much, they're very quirky, but they sure are pretty to look at!! |

I'm doing pretty good. Still have a lot of tightness through my upper back and around my left shoulder blade. Haven't had a truly bad day pain wise in a while though. Still have issues with the tightness at the base of the head/top of the neck and weekly to bi weekly migranes. Still a huge leap in the right direction to be able to ride without being in agony! I still have pain but it's definitely not as bad! |

I have a follow up appointment with the Spine Dr on Monday. I'm not really quite sure what to tell him. I honestly don't think the injection helped but maybe it did and that combined with the new massage therapist is what's beneficial. Idk. |

I didn't take it negatively at all! Just made me realize mine are pretty quirky. Lol. He is a hunk! I went out to this friends place to go riding and eye balled him. Then she kept posting pics and videos and I am now infatuated! My mare has some lameness issues that are ongoing and have now progressed so I no longer feel comfortable breeding her. So this guy popped up at the right time and is really exactly what I was wanting out of my mare! |

Yep! He will be coming to live with me! We'll actually his dam and him will be. It's a package deal or my friend was keeping him. Lol. So my stepfather will be getting the mare and the colt is mine! If i don't settle on something else soon his barn name will be Gonzo! Lol |

That thought process was a huge deciding factor as well! While I absolutely LOVE the gelding by my mare, I really wasn't looking forward to all the bills and worry associated with the process of breeding. This guy is exactly what I was hoping for, just different bloodlines. I am 100% infatuated with him! |

After seeing all of the pictures of him I can see why you would love him so much. I have just seen how much work it is to breed a mare and raise that baby till you can ride it. I am more of a faint of heart horse person so that has always been hard for me. I have done it but there have been some heartbreaking days involved. |

Off thread just a touch. . .
What you just said is what scares me soo much about breeding our mare. I've never done babies or breeding before. The stud is an own son of Haidas Little Pep that belongs to one of my closest friends, so the stud fee isn't the issue. But I worry about all that could go wrong with Two and if something happened to her just because I wanted a foal from her---I think I would never get over it. Or if the baby got here and then something happened to it. . . I just think of all the things that COULD go wrong. |

Generally I don't rush halter breaking but momma needs her feet done and frets about baby so it's safer on everyone to be able to contain baby and keep him right with her. So today's task was to halter him. 2 hours later we have success! This pic clearly shows his thoughts. Lmao

My farrier was pretty convinced Ringo was much older than he is! When I said he was only going to be 2 months old in 2 days (at the time, now he's a little over 2 months) his eyes got huge. Lol
I'm ok. Better now that I started the CBD oil again. Wasn't doing so great off of it. |

He definitely helps! I did ride Ren yesterday, just walked though. I need to get a video of her movement today and send to the vet....
Ringo has calmed down quite a bit, still on one run thing who wants things on his terms but I can at least pet his neck and kiss his nose when I catch him now! The trick is catching him. Lmao |

Well I had one picked out but it's a bit long with our switch in disciplines so I'm still undecided. Lol
Ace is doing fantastic. Serenity is getting legged up and so far seems to be handling it ok. I'm doing ok, need to start searching for a Dr who can possibly figure my back out again. I have another show this coming weekend so I should have pics and hopefully videos to share! |

Thank you! We pulled all the jumps so my friend could mow. Took us 2 hours to set up a new course by ourselves. After all that heavy lifting my upper back said screw you and apparently wasn't strong enough for me to hold form correctly over fences. It was ugly. We ended on a good note but I was convinced I forgot how to ride! Lol |

Location: California | Quick update. I STILL haven’t settled on a registered name but Ringo is doing fantastic! Also still need to held him. He turned a year old in March, he’s got a “I’m pretty hot stuff” attitude but I’m sure part of that is horomones! Absolutely LOVE how he is maturing!
How do I get pics to show up on here now that photobucket has gone to charging to share pics????

He measures a tad under 14h at the withers and 14h at the hip!
Serenity is finally improving! We injected both front coffin joints, both stifles, and both hocks and that worked for 4 months. That’s it. This winter she was worse than ever, she had far more bad days than good and he bad days she would almost collapse if she tried to pivot on her hind end out in the pasture. I seriously considered euthanasia. My last ditch effort has been to put her on an NRF2 Synergizer after seeing some amazing horse videos with it! It reduces the Oxidative Stress in the body which reduces the free radicals in the cells that cause damage and inflammation. It’s working! She now has less bad days and those bad days aren’t nearly as bad as they were! It’s not a miracle cure, it’s just helping to reduce the inflammation and letting her body heal what can be naturally!
Ace, oh Ace. Well, turns out his saddle started pinching so now he has a bucking habit. Gave him a week off and tried walking around in the round pen bareback and he was still extremely crabby and crow hopping. So I’ll give him another week and if there’s no change it’s off to the vet and if there’s no reason for it, it’ll be off to someone who can stick like glue to a bucking horse and attitude adjustment time. In the meantime I’m saddle hunting and trying to figure out how to afford to buy one.
How are you? |

I'm so glad things are better for Ren. I know trying to decide that final option would've been heartbreaking, so I'm happy this new product is working.
Your Ace---he's a mess!!! Hopefully he won't have to go to the school of hard lessons!!
I'm glad tax season 2017 is in the record books! Trying to sell these dang catfish and worrying with them is now top priority. . . But family and friends are good, so we're very blessed. My Forco is arriving tomorrow, so looking forward to seeing how it hopefully helps Dan pull out of his winter slump. Say a little prayer please.
Hope your back is doing ok. Look forward to more jumping updates and pictures once Ace comes to his senses |

I am actually on the same product Ren is and it’s amazing! It’s really helping me take my life back! I’ve had 1 or 2 migranes in the past 30 days, usually they are biweekly, it’s seriously reduces my fatigue levels, I can physically feel the inflammation decreasing and my back/neck relaxing, and I am sleeping sooooo much better! Hopefully we both keep improving!!! |

Location: California | So I still haven’t settled on a name.... Mr Ringo finally is ulcer clear! He had a horrible case of severe actively bleeding ulcers. His 3 scope has shown they are healed! I’m guessing because his dam was a nervous wreck he is also like that. I’m hoping he’ll settle with age.... I’m really starting to wonder though. I’ve seriously considered selling especially since my husband just switched from Navy Reserves to Active Duty. However, I do believe this is the NICEST baby I’ve ever owned!!! So I’ll continue to pray he will mellow out! He has all his basic ground work and he’ll be sent to a colt starter probably summer or fall of his 2yr old year.
