Location: Oklahoma | Chicken salad with nuts and apples in it with crossiants and breakfast burritos
And of course coffee with real cream and Carmel sauce
Other than that need some ideas. Not taking a grill. Hoping one night friends and I go somewhere to eat! |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | We take the Instant Pot and make some Chili lime chicken. It's great for tacos, on salads, and will last in the fridge/cooler all weekend. You could make it ahead to take as well of course. We bring a little charcoal grill and some jalapeno/cheese brats, and usually marinade a couple of steaks in a zip lock bag to grill. Bring foil and peel and onion, score in quarters and season with butter and season all...wrap in foil and set on the grill for a while. Goes great with the steaks. We wrap corn on the cob the same way and grill.
We always bring avocados to slice and eat with meals as well.

| I fix King Ranch Chicken before I go and put in individual ziplocks. You can freeze if you want. Sandwich stuff, tomatoes already sliced in plastic container, lettuce in ziplock. Usually have ham, turkey, cheese, bacon, chips to accompany. Don't get any complaints from the ones I am feeding and they are adults. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | I have never been to BBR but we travel a lot to car and truck shows. We have started cooking all meats before hand and sitting it out in the sun to warm up before we eat it. Chips, pretzels, fruits (frozen grapes are my favorite), crackers, cheese (pre cut cheddar), water, gatorade, Spark (by advocare), and pedilyte in case anyone starts to get dehydrated. (You would be amazed at how terrible grown men eat and drink while outside all day. Well... maybe not. ) We also take one cooler that's empty but full of ice so we can dip towels and cool rags in without contaminating food. |
