Who out there has frozen eggs? Not embryos (fertilized) but the eggs of mares. Can you tell me about the process, expense, good/bad? Just trying to explore the option more. TIA

I spoke at length to the folks at Rio Vista about this a few months ago. The process of actually storing the embryo's is pretty inexpensive and the success rate has increased by leaps in bounds over the last few years

It's still not super vialble and unless you own the stallion your going to have a ton of money tied up in the embryo's that may or may not stick when implanted.

I think in a few years it may be a viable option but right now for most it's probably not
 

ETA: I also didn't really read your question. The process for eggs won't involve the stallion, obviously. So disgrard most of what I said.
