Location: London Ontario | We are looking go to Vegas this year.
We are thinking Wed Dec 6-Sunday Dec 10th. We are flying out of Toronto Ontario Canada so need flight and hotel. Does this mean something like Hotwire or Expedia is the best place? Or when do the hotels/stock contractors come out with their hotel deals?
We are wanting to stay on the strip for sure and not looking to stay in a dump...I know we are only there to sleep but we are a little snobby I guess!
So we need some hotel recommendations!!!!
We are also looking for some great places to eat. We are looking to do Fremont (however it is not a must-do), see a round as well as a show.
I will be shopping all week and the BF will be at the black jack table but will sadly need to eat at some point

Location: Idaho | For plane tickets I always buy from CheapOair.com Usually get some pretty good flights, for booking hotels I always look at booking.com.
For Cars, I think booking.com also does car rentals as well.
For casino's, it really depends on what you are looking for if you are 'little snobby' 
Bellagio is amazing but is a 5 star 5 diamond hotel. Aria/Vdara is also 5 star 5 diamond, very nice and is not expensive as the Bellagio.. but they are always competing with each other to get better scores on their diamonds/stars.
Venetian/Pallazo is nice, their rooms are well taken care of and comfy.
South Point is a favorite, there are a lot of horsey events going on there including another finals or roping or something. They have a movie theatre, bowling alley, big indoor arena and horse facilities, some good food (Stake N Shake!) etc. Oh and their prices are pretty reasonable! They are just south of the strip so you're still on the strip without all that Strip buzz!
Oh and then Town Square is close to the Southpoint too. Lots of good food, eating, dancing.. etc.

Location: Bandera, TX | I like the newly renovated rooms at the Excalibur. Good location and reasonable. Would love to stay at the Venezian or Bellagio at some
point.
We always eat at "Mon Ami Gabi" at the Paris Hotel. Get a table outside so
you can watch all the crazies on the Strip! |

Location: Cap'n Joan Rotgut.....alberta | We have been going to vegas now for 9 years...i get the flight and hotel off of travelocity.ca..i find they dont have hidden cost like some of the other sites do.....harrahs, link, Ceasars , paris are all nice...the flamingo has gotten a bit dingy. ...we like harrahs...i booked our trip back in feb and we are going from the 13 to the 18 and i got it for under 1200....for 2 ppl.....places to eat...hash house a go-go (its in the link) ellis island has really really good food. Margaritaville is good...if you like bbq rolling smoke down by freemont street....things to see the mob museum is really cool...neon graveyard...zac bagans haunted house is open now. ..the shops in ceasars palace and the gondolas in the venetian are neat....the wax museum. ..so much to see and do...lol...and also you can watch the rounds live at any bar..we usually go to toby keiths...foods good to.the mirage has a good after party....and billy bobs is fun fun fun....m

Location: East Texas | Also, depending on your time frame, get flights on off days (not around the weekend). Last year we left on Tues. instead of Monday after the finals, and the money we saved on flights more than paid for the extra night in the hotel. |

| Went last year and stayed Mandalay Bay it is a little further down on the strip but have nothing bad to say about it. I've stayed at TI, Flamingo, MGM, ect. and the rooms and customer service at Manadlay beat them all. If you are looking for more of the all around NFR experience definitley stay at South Point lots of events held there...the world finals team roping and other things. The night life there is also more around the NFR, the buckle ceremony is held there. Downtown is the place to gamble for sure. Hope you have a great trip it was a blast last year for us! |

Can't tell you about Airlines I just us miles when I fly for fun.
Usually stay in the Aria or Cosmo ocassionally in the Delano
Restruants in Vegas have morphed into hype or pretense over content.
Find something you like and go eat it. |

Location: North Dakota | We've stayed a couple times at MGM and once at Mandalay Bay. Mandalay was super nice and they have their own trade show which is nice. Same with MGM. We chose MGM the last couple of times because they have a huge room to view the perfs in if you can't make it to the T&M. Food places are bountiful. I really want to try Bobby Flay's restaurant, but we never seem to make it. There's always somewhere to eat:)
ETA: Take the monorail, in lieu of cabs, to the tradeshows. its cheap, easy, and safe.

Location: In the Hills of Texas | We always stay at the South Point but it's been sold out for months already.
I enjoyed the Hoover Dam tour. Not much into eating out so we just do places like Outback and the Prime Rib restaurant at the South Point.
The shopping will keep you really busy as they seem to keep adding more and more shopping.
One thing is for sure...you won't get bored..LOL

Location: MN | We stayed at Treasure Island and we had a great experience!! Ask for the NFR deal. We got some really awesome rates. Our stay there was super cheap! They gave us some awesome coupons along with our NFR package deal that saved us a lot of money on food and drinks. They also have several shuttles to and from the Cowboy Christmas, to the T&M, then back.
We flew from MN using Delta - Caught the red eye home which saved us a ton but I do not recommend doing that coming back from Vegas, with no sleep and then a 5 hour drive home to the boonies.... we wont be doing that one again but usually tickets to Vegas are fairly cheap!

| This thread has me excited to go back! We've been the past two years and you can't NOT have a blast.
South Pointe is beautiful and had team roping going on along with shopping and a great viewing party.
Fremont is fabulous for people watching.
Cowboy Christmas can easily fill 2 days or more.
Mono rail is the best
All In Barrel Race was happening downtown - what is the venue called again ??? Not as good of shopping IMO (smaller scale) but the run was fun to watch and the food was good too.
Mandalay Bay has an EXCELLENT trade show as well. Good restaurants too. Felt like we walked 10 miles just in MB.
Shows are plentiful and you can't really go wrong.
Oh and MGM viewing party is a good place to see contestants hanging out and good bands
We fly allegient and stay MGM, MB, Excalibur
Seriously, is it December yet? HAHA

I like both of these suggestions. Luxor is a pretty good deal also, and with the money you save by staying there you can afford to eat at Mon Ami Gabi, which really is great. Also you can walk across the connector to Mandalay Bay for some great restaurants there, or live music.

Location: Tulsa, Ok | A lot of the casino's put together room/transportation deals that can be really good. You can get the information from the hotel web sites. The prices will vary throughout the year so it is good to monitor the deals weekly and then book when prices dip and you feel you have a great deal. |

I honeymooned there in 2015! We got married on Finals night, but made it to a perf a few days before we were married. Highly recommend spending more time than you think you will need at Cowboy Christmas. There is also a Brazilian steakhouse - I think it was called Pampas? - that the hubs really liked. I don't know what kind of hotels you like, but we stayed at Caesar's and I don't think I would stay there again. It's nice, but the buffet is only mediocre at best and the place is so big and spread out that it takes awhile just to get from your room out to the strip. We have stayed at Treasure Island previously and it was pretty good. We are talking about going back this year, and the husband wants to stay at Bellagio but my votes for Hard Rock - we'll see how that goes! |

I wouldn't recommend Hard Rock. You're far from everything so you have to take a cab to the strip or wherever you're going. We spent a fortune in cabs the year we stayed there.
We stayed at the Linq last year and I would stay there again. Easy access to a lot of the strip. Use Uber or Lyft to get around, especially to Fremont st. You'll save quite a bit of money. |

Thanks to both! We're actually getting married this Saturday but delaying the honeymoon since neither of us has been to the NFR!
His team roping partner and his wife have been several times and the MGM was on their short list of places to stay as well. SO's parents stayed at south point when they went but didn't like how far off the strip they were - felt planning to spend a full day at south point but staying on the strip was what they'd do next time.
So the trade show is moving back this year? Wasnt it somewhere new last year and people were complaining they weren't able to find it? Seem to remember that |

| Cosmopolitan hotel is where we like now. Have stayed at so many different properties over the years. Cosmo easy to get to to Thomas and Mack for perf. Great restaurants and right next door to Bellagio. Get a fountain/strip view. Worth the $ especially if it's your honeymoon

Last year we were literally only in our room to sleep and shower ha. We stayed at the Stratosphere and it wasn't any better than any super 8 around here. |
